It's kind of strange that we are going through bad flooding while on the other side of the world UK is going through drought at this moment. It's like it takes in turns between droughts and floods from one side of the world to the other.

Pretty sure i've heard that when the Southern Hemisphere is experiencing LaNina, the Northern Hemisphere experiences El Nino. So if that is infact the case, it's not really strange at all.

Did Tim Flannery write that article?

No rain for the next couple of days. In fact warm weather abound.

Thoughts and prayers for this thread
Hopefully it gives the ground a chance to dry out a little it's all looking like swamp land out here currently and quite a few creeks have overflowed

14-15 consecutive days with rain across most Melbourne stations. Don't know what the record is, but it must be close.

Very skewed towards the Eastern suburbs. Mooroolbark/Heathmont both got 150mm+ across the fortnight, less than half of that in the CBD.

Yesterday was truly bizarre, in the middle of a gorgeous day with barely a breath of wind Kensington got flash flooded whilst most other places got a smattering.

Bizarre
A significant storm sat over the golf course where i played. It was intense.

Bizarre

Laverton got the same treatment today just after lunch.

Supposedly going to be like this all week - difficult to make plans.
