Conway in for Stanley (hopefully) will make us younger again. Then COS is gearing up to replace Blicavs (so in effect from our squad so far it would be Kolo in for Blicavs at some stage). Maybe in a year or two that COS for Blicavs transition will be complete.seems crazy that Geelong is putting out teams barely older than Richmond, North and WCE. Also shows how cooked Melbourne and Carlton are
Sam Walsh is out of contract next year. Good old Falcons boyConway in for Stanley (hopefully) will make us younger again. A young or prime aged A grade midfielder to replace Danger is still on the wish-list but who knows if we can get it done.
Holmes and Smith are already less than stellar with ball in hand (although good explosive speed/territory players). Ideally we either get an absolute contested bull (Rowell) or a classy ball user/decision maker to compliment them. Walsh is almost like an anti score involvement machine - creates more for opposition than his own team - lately. I'm not sure it's a good fit.Sam Walsh is out of contract next year. Hawthorn clear favourite at $5 (TAB)
Brisbane and GWS second line at $7
With the greatest amount of respect though, you have NFI.Not clear blue sky at all
Its very cloudy at present
I'd say Hawthorn is 12th favourite.

Of course you do mate.I have more idea than anyone in Geelong town
Richmond/West Coast and North Melbourne have more of a shot at Premiership 2025 than Hawthorn do at present![]()
I'm glad he left out Carlton...Of course you do mate.
I'm glad he left out Carlton...
If he'd have included them, then we'd know he was really taking the mickey.
We’ve had football in some really tough conditions. Sydney game and west coast game … players looked like they were melting. Also had gastro go through the group. I’d say we took the foot off the gas in the last quarter. It’s ok … you’re the premiership favourite. No one is taking that away from you.Conceding 90 points to Richmond is a disgrace. They're in for a rude shock in the next couple of months- if Hawks, Suns or Crows played them tomorrow they'd get flogged

I understand why supporters want to eschew the favouritism tag but yes agree. Embrace itI think Hawthorns odds are deserved.
They've beaten two contenders and two rabbles who threw everything at them.
They have not been flying and they have won differently and overcome below par performances in a variety of areas every week. Currently there are 4 or 5 best 22 players out (Worpel, Cmac, Dear, Scrimshaw to start).
Long way to go but what's the point in following footy if you cant enjoy the good times? I've started making plans for Sept 27.
I wonder what the odds of going unbeaten are. Can't see where we lose a gameI understand why supporters want to eschew the favouritism tag but yes agree. Embrace it

MCG tenant on fire will always be ahead in favouritism compared to another similarly strong team.It just doesn't make much sense to me.
Leaving aside the fact that favouritism in April means nothing (remember Cariton were red hot this time last year, Hawthorn favourites for the spoon and Brisbane winless), how can the reigning premier, with a ridiculous (and improved list) be undefeated and not favourite?
Especially give Hawthorn has won 1 final in the last 8 years.
It HAS to be the Lions at this stage (with GWS and a group of others, including Hawthorn, in the next rung)
