Hope it is ArtetaHopefully the post Pep years will be a way away off yet.
But we've got direction, we're forward thinking and we've got a good young squad.
Our expectations for the next guy should be high.

Bin RVP
We're f’ed when Klopp leaves. We just have to enjoy it while it lasts.
First step to ask RvP what does the little boy inside of him want to do.
RVP was an overrated spud anyway back in his Arsenal days.

You are 4th on the wage table, you are technically outperforming your position (so is Man City who is 3rd) but let’s not pretend he’s a miracle worker, you have one of the largest wage bills in world football.
The miracle was getting a team that was in free fall under Rodgers and within 3/4 years getting them into title contention.
We were nowhere on the wage table compared to City/United/Chelsea when Klopp took over (we didn’t have players worth paying that much) and certainly couldn’t attract the quality of player they could. Even Arsenal had more pull than we did - see Alexis Sanchez. Klopp built a culture of success and football which a) got us back into the Champions League, giving us the associated drawing power and revenue b) made players want to come to Liverpool again and c) made the owners feel like backing the club with increased expenditure on wages and transfers.
You’re right that the team as currently constituted should be performing at an extremely high level, given the wage bill and transfer expenditure but what Klopp did to get the club to that point from where it was when he took over is one of the best managerial jobs of the century.
It’s far from certain that when he leaves, player development and recruitment maintains at the same level it has been under him. How many times has a generational manager left a club in England, and the club hasn’t missed a beat? Liverpool after Shankly and Paisley is about the only example I can think of, and that was 40/50 years ago.
Never change Liverpool fans.
It’s not even the best managerial job of the decade, let alone the century.
Yes, he took over a side that was 10th in the league in October but also a side that went on to make the Europa League final the season he took over.
Hardly Ranieri and Leicester is it?
As far as smooth transitions of era’s, George Graham into Arsene Wenger is another obvious one.
1. I didn’t say it was the best job, I said it was one of the best. I agree Ranieri with Leicester would be the best. But if you want to keep arguing against arguments which were never made, be my guest.
2. He clearly was the main driving force behind getting that team to the Europa League Final. That wasn’t happening under Rodgers/99% of other managers.
3. Wenger didn’t succeed Graham, Bruce Rioch did. Arsenal finished a distant 5th in the league.

Yes, 99% of managers couldn’t take over a side that finished runners up in the PL 18 months prior to a Europa League final a few months later….
Monumental effort. Unprecedented.
Didn't Tuchel take a Lampard side that was struggling to win the CL?
You are correct.
Mancini into Pellegrini
Mourinho into Conte
Probably also qualify.
This is the correct answer. RVP the obvious bin, not on the same level as the others.Bin RVP
Start Suarez and Salah
Bench Rooney (although a terrible super sub haha)
For me there is a massive difference between the job Ranieri did at Leicester and the job Klopp has done at Liverpool. One was a crazy lightning in a bottle, incredible one off achievement. The other is building a club from the ground up to become the best team or equal with City as the best team in the world for a prolonged amount of time.
Vastly different.
Both won the same amount of prem titles so not all that differentFor me there is a massive difference between the job Ranieri did at Leicester and the job Klopp has done at Liverpool.
