Bucks look ass, not shocking really but man we suck. No real defensive identity, offense is stagnant.

I'll always have the 21' chip but it felt like the Giannis era should have at least 2 rings, oh well.

Weird game this Knicks Cavs one, we had all the momentum in the first half but the Cavs just keep fighting. Defensive pressure has gone down and Mitchell and Garland have been allowed a lot of space and hit the 3's.
Brunson having a shocking night missed some easy shots and turned it over a lot.

Bridges and Hart have been very good.

What a day of Ball though a handful of games all within a few points with not much time left!

23 should’ve been the bucks’ year had Giannis not been injured against the heat.

Boston just put the hammer down when they needed to. 11-2 run late in the 3rd & it was all over. Doubt Doc sees much of the season out with their limp D.
I can see him gone by Christmas.

Such a waste of time feel for bucks fans.

No doubt this is docs last stint.

I think we would have won 2019 if it weren't for Kawhi & the Raptors wall, especially up 2-0. We always matched up well against GWS too and they were banged up. If we had to pick a year for a potential second, I'd have that over 2023.

Either way, we're pretty screwed for the forseeable future. Pelicans have swap rights on our 2026 pick AND 2027 unprotected. Portland then have swap rights on 2028, 2029 unprotected AND 2030 swap rights. We don't have our own Pick until 7 years from now.

I get it, small market and a generational talent, you have to go all-in but man we are screwed. I won't get to see my team have a chance to be competitive again until mid 2030's at minimum. That's 10 years, that's demoralising.

Maybe trading Giannis & Dame, plus others can bring some assets back in but it won't "fix" the mess we're going to be in. We'll aim to make playoffs as a play-in team as to avoid bottoming out without picks I guess.

Had we not moved for Dame, I think our future would have looked a bit better. The trade for Holiday actually worked out, we got a ring and sacrificing a few picks in 2026/2027 is fair. We could have then started rebuilding around 2028 onwards.

Mortgaged our future for Dame and it's gone awful, which will have lasting consequences.

Bucks FO got themselves to blame for getting sucked in by a used car salesman in Doc. Now they’ve got a shit sandwich on their hands.
Bucks FO screwed up by getting Griffin in the first place. An untried coach for a contending team? My god. I knew it wouldn't work out from the start.

The irony is Bud would have utilised Dame well. The issues with Bud was his half-court offense was awful (Which is what you need in playoffs) but his system was good, we played defense and we did well in the reg. season to get home court seeding.

We went from Bud + Holiday to Griffin + Dame, too many big pieces moved at once. It should have been either Bud + Dame or Griffin + Holiday. Don't forget that Holiday didn't want to leave, he was happy to retire in Milwaukee. Bucks FO cooked the cake.

Its easy to get carried away in early season games when you lose but with teams like my own (Knicks), Pacers & Denver that on paper should be top 1-4 teams in their divisions but you can see where the improvement from them will come and they will be ok in the long run. The Bucks I just can't see it unless Giannis runs wild but history shows with the exception of some elite athletes once you hit the wrong side of 30 its very hard. Dame is what 33 or 34? Unless they make a move and get some help in I don't think they have the ability to rebound as strong as the other teams they are in competition with for those top spots.

Probably either way you walk away with a chip out of Giannis which is the most important thing.

The first two picks shouldn’t be a problem as you’ll still be fine with lillard and Giannis both there for another 2-3 years? Can’t remember off the top of my head. The picks towards the end are concerning but it might cost you a year maybe two the most after the Giannis era.

I think it’s the coaching for me griffin at least had them playing some decent offence, they should never have fired mike, FO should’ve pulled a pat riley on lebron in that moment. I’d say it’s highly likely the bucks are already looking at a potential replacement if things go south very quickly.

Not sure you’ll get much for dame as of his age, Giannis has the better value of the two and he can bring in some haul for the future at least. Either way I think they have one more run left in the Giannis era for a chip but the window is very limited.

Same reply to both Giannis forced the FO hands to get rid of Mike and bring in lillard.

Bucks would’ve been better off, that’s the problem when a player thinks he knows better than the FO this is what you get.

Giannis deserves the whole blame imo.
