Interesting look back on a time capsule of a show - had not realised it went all the way to 2018

On the claim the show made these people do and say things - these people were out there. They would still be having affairs and ****ing their dads and sisters in any way possible - they would still marry their horse and still kill their Ex

Jerry just highlighted it

Did Jerry know or care ? At over $60m of wages I would probably turn a blind eye as well

It was an interesting watch but - again - did not deliver on the premise

Apart from Richard Dominick - what a prick

Can't help but think this was part of the reason the US is what it is now.

Also not sure how anyone can damn the producer but give Jerry a pass.

I'm surprised none of the streaming companies are playing The Jerry Springer Show. I bet many people would still watch it.

Jerry in the mid 90’s was must watch tv for any day off. It was unlike anything we had seen so to watch the doco was riveting.

Pity they couldn’t get the stage crew to get on…and I reckon there is a reason for that because they knew the fights were 90% fake. Yes they highlighted the rare assaults but most of the time it was missed helicopters. The Stage Manager who I think had the name Steve was in on it with Jerry and you could tell from their interactions on camera that they were in on the joke of fake fighting

So the doco went some way to lifting the curtain but not the whole way

Did Jerry change the US?

No social media changed the entire world

Pretty insane a show like this actually happened and it was only around 25 years ago too

I remember watching it as a kid for the absolute chaos. It was always entertaining.

Pretty crazy that most of the guests weren’t paid actors either.

Jerry having a threesome and it implied it would get him cancelled today is laughable.

Yep, brilliant show, and best thing I've seen on Netflix since Mindhunter. Near enough to West Wing quality dialogue and political intrigue.

I really appreciate it when shows don't treat their audience like idiots - it's quite rare.

I watched it and it was just OK for mine. Plot was a bit silly and really only two characters kept me watching it, the British PM and to a lesser extent the Diplomat's husband.
