Bag 16 is the tombs, Zero's kennel and other decorations. Quite a lot of small pieces left over. I love the way the 3 separate parts tie in together. It looks great from the back as well. Thoroughly enjoyed building that. Zero is rubber not plastic. It is very well designed and not too many superfluous pieces. You could play around with the minifigs and decor. I may add skeletons. Only thing I don't like is the top of the tomb just plonked on. I took photos of it with the large haunted house because I think they look great together. Ask if you have any questions or want more photos.

Time for a quick poll. Your favourite set for the year, and the best set under $100?

I think mine is Mario & Yoshi (although I still have Endurance to build). It was just so much fun to build and the mechanism was flawless.

At the cheaper end, the Earth and Moon set was very clever, will have to give some thought to my favourite.

I actually didn’t build many 2024 sets apart from the technic Audi RS Q eTron rally car. Remote controlled via an app. Pretty cool.

Sets i did build and really enjoyed was the tree house. Loved it. That was followed by the A frame cabin. But yeah the endurance will be a fav for sure.
It’s inspired me to rebuild queen annes revenge. Unfortunately I don’t have the black pearl. My eyes nearly fell out when Scotland posted a pic of the price.

Edit: I’m actually building the Mercedes G Class 4wd and i walked away from it this year. I’ll finish it over my break and post pics.

Set under $100 - unsure yet.

Favourite set my Lego Voltron impulse ebay purchase :p
Favoruite set actually built this year: Lego Amazing Spider-man Art

Yet to build: Lego 1966 Batmobile, Lego Bumblebee. Lego Voltron

One of those may get built over the Christmas/New Year break period!

Nightmare Before Christmas was my fave. Notre-Dame looks great but it wasn't as fun to build.
I bought polybags and they are my fun cheapies.
I really enjoyed making the Jules Verne book GWP too.

Only thing left in my build pile is the Books are my Passion GWP. Haven't had a lot of spare $$ this year.

First time my partner had been in a lego store - Melb central. Visited before me. I got sent a heap of photos and of course the hard to find section there had some stuff I wanted.
She’s also a keen gardener and really likes the botanical garden set but was too big for her to carry on the train. However it was awesome of her to hand me a Lego bag when she got home. Inside was the London phone box. Nice surprise. Will go with my London bus.

So this means I have to send her to the other stores now. What else can bommer score!
😎👍🏻

I think the correct strategy here is to surprise her with the Botanical Gardens set, and you'll be guaranteed a visit to the Lego store every time you go out...

I only got the two sets this year, both for my 40th. Batcave Shadowbox and Home Alone House.

Really hard to split them, love them for different reasons, but I think the Batcave comes out on top. Even if I'm too scared to open it up now that it's all closed up 🤣 I feel like the Home Alone House is easier/less risky to open and look inside at all the cool little touches. The Batcave has a massive "wingspan" that makes it awkward to open, especially when the shelf I have it displayed on only has enough space to have it closed up. But Hone Alone House had 34 stickers and a lot of pieces that don't click in, they just sit on top which I hated, which puts it behind the Batcave overall. Even the dining room chairs don't attach to the floor, they just sit on top. So I've attached the part of the chair you sit on to the bottom of the table 🤣

Floating chairs in the haunted Home Alone house 🤣

So many sets that I want, but running out of space now.

Ok so I walked away from this for a little while and back on it.
Bags 1-3

Q: how do I insert the photos inside the post instead of attaching? My copy/paste isn’t working.

Has anyone ever been to the Friday convention day for Brickvention in Melbourne?

I was offered a platinum ticket for $100 today, but I already have a $27 Saturday ticket, and I can't imagine what happens on the Friday to justify a hunjy +

My love of books has reduced my lego display area. 😆😩

Burn the books = more room for Lego
