Was a great game….had almost everything.

Kudos to Queensland for fighting back after their 1st innings disaster.

And for us to chase 270 was an outstanding effort.

Had QLD made just 200ish in the first dig we could've all still been sitting here twitchy.

It was the location really had it been at AO there's no storming the ground, it was so great and old school to see it.

That was a really good Shield final. It didn't quite ebb and flow enough to be 'great'. But it did lurch violently by the end of day 3 and into day 4, before lurching back the other way with Sangha and Carey at the crease.

Qld refused to die at all times and should be commended for that. They even gave themselves the hope of a ridiculous miracle with 3 wickets in the last, whatever it was, 40 runs? But SA simply wouldn't be denied. Chasing 270 to win a Grand Final, let me tell you, is no mean feat, and will make the West Ends taste extra sweet tonight.

Very happy for Sangha. Injuries derailed him a little bit and his career looked in the wilderness.

Brilliant decision to go to South Australia and his performances have been outstanding. No reason why he couldn’t make another step up to the Test squad in the next couple of seasons.

First time I've had the chance to post anything. Yesterday was a busy day for me, everything going on at once. So proud of the effort from the guys, Rhino certainly did a great job as coach.

The final was one of the better ones with both teams in a position to win right to last day. I just want to add my congratulations to Jake Lehmann who well and truly made me eat my words about wanting him dropped. His final 2-3 games were superb.

I'm assuming Doggett won the man of the match?

Doggett had the figures in this game but McAndrew has been a gun all season. Looking at his record he’s a very underrated player- 221 wkts @25, and averages almost 27 with the bat.

McAndrew strikes me as a John Hastings type. Very good at State level for bat and ball but don't think he has enough tricks for test level. Doggett has a bit more speed and nibbles it both ways.
