The Untold Story of Adelaide's Gay Hate Murders

:D Where they nice enough people socially? They're assumedly pretty charismatic folks? (excluding Mr R who seems universally regarded as a grumpy old fart)

Doctor Steve was a very nice guy. Lawyer R was probably even more nicer. When I worked at a pub, he would come in after his work and have a few (less alcoholic drinks - eg Campari/Soda) before heading home. He would often give people advice about legal issues while not charging them (he did this for me once). His (slightly younger) bf R was also very nice guy but I didn't know him as well.

I have only ever added facts (from my time around this era). Never posted theories I have dreamed up.

Here's a fact for you. I once had sex with Doctor Steve. This was after Kelvin etc, I had heard rumours about him, but I was about 20, horny and very drunk.

So it happened. He took me back to the (virtual mansion) place he was staying in at North Adelaide (the home of 'Lawyer B' and his bf 'other B') and everything was fine, I had a good time and woke up in the morning not dead....

A bit later, Lawyer B & BF also tried to pick me up and take me home, but I said no. Probably regretting saying no now. It might have been a fun night.

How's those facts for you???
Brilliant! Now does that help add anything concrete to the investigation, or is it just you reflecting on your sex life and missed opportunities?

Very little posted on here in the past few years has added to the investigation. But at least my post was facts rather than imagination.
Facts about missed sexual opportunities…adding nothing.

Can’t say I really like the idea of someone trusting Dr.Steve after hearing about his suspected dangerous ways. That’s odd, and uncomfortable.

lol - I danced with Jason Donovan once, bought him a drink. didn't have sex with him (would've easily said yes lol) but don't think he was involved with 'The Family'...

More facts...
Yeah let me just add another story of who I rubbed shoulders with but wait, they’ve got nothing to do with the family.

More (completely useless) facts. Cheers!

Facts aren’t being put out here very much because most people who read along, or who chip in with “like” or sometimes even a comment, are basically people who are interested onlookers, or people who seek information but don’t share their own.

Some people also like to take the facts they do get here, and share them about as if it is their own knowledge that they have obtained themselves.

There used to be a number of genuine researchers who posted here but these days, that’s not quite the case. Where are the likes of GypsyDreams, SquiffyRae, RaisedEyebrow, GreyCrow and numerous others who were more than just interested onlookers?

Everyone can play a part by contributing a fact, an observation, some constructive criticism, a reference or resource, and so on.

C’mon folks, we need more team work. Please!

I think you know I like and respect you Squawk, but I can't believe this thread - or the people on it - could ever help solve this mystery/crime.

That's why I often describe the people here as 'Miss Marples' (though she might have solved it). Even when people like me who were around at the time share a fact or two we get criticised or almost accused of being an accessory to murder. It's unreal.

Cmon people, there’s work to be done!
  1. Police believe there was an average of one abduction a week over at least four years. There’s the magic number of 200 estimated abductions. So why did five people die? Were these five deaths cases of abuse, instances of “accidentally” going too far? Were they for snuff films? Were they part of crude pr0n films? Were they practice attempts at sex change operations?
  2. Who was the killer/killers? It seems reasonable to conclude that the Transgender crowd were lures and accessories but not the perpetrators of actual murders. So - if we rule them out we are looking at other names on the “list”. BVE, Woodards, Mr R. , Brown and St Dennis, and maybe others who were part of the circle but not haven’t had their names rise closer to the top of the list. (I don’t perceive Brown and St Dennis being killers). And is there one or two who do it all, or were different people involved on different occasions? (eg Gambardella was around until 1980 so was there for Muir and Barnes but not for Stogneff, Langley and Kelvin).
Then we have other elements of the cases that haven’t been resolved.

3. Why wasn’t/hasn’t/isn’t the radio caller “Diamond”, identified? Now those amongst us who are widely read on these cases should have some thoughts about who Diamond is, (as should police!). Put your thinking caps on here peeps - there are some obvious candidates when you think about it.

4. What about the pine needles found with Neil Muir’s body? Where did they come from?

5. Where could Muir and Stogneff have been dissected?

6. The answer to questions (3), (4) and (5) will help to identify who the killer(s) could be in question (2).

Well, hopefully we’ve all had our two cents to say.

Maybe we can get back to answering some pressing questions , like the ones I suggested the other day? (I know some people are looking into these things).

And - I’d love to hear some of the pressing questions others may have too?

I and many friends would have sex with Jason Donovan for his job hosting the playstation Buzz game series.

I and many friends would have sex with Jason Donovan

He was filming some TV/movie show in SA and came into 'Regines' (I think) with a bunch of the crew where we were all clubbing at about 1am. He danced and chatted with a group of people inc me. Sadly I got drunk and somehow handcuffed myself to someone else and couldn't get the damn things off until the next day lol.

Sorry certain people - I don't think he murdered anyone...

So is the Miss Marple tea circle of sharing stories of who you rubbed shoulders with back on?

You should have murdered the person you was handcuffed to. Or at least lopped their hand off.
