I came here just to say this. First crack used to be the best review show because theyd actually talk footy.

I just watched it for the first time this year, why the hell is Jay Clark talking about trades and players out of contract?! Piss off. Ruined the dynamic.

How can they pay so much for the tv rights and then be too tight to send commentators to games live. I get they think they overpaid for the rights and are trying to save money but it wouldn’t cost that much to just send one commentator and special comments to a game or just use local talent. I’d be a drop in the ocean compared to other unnecessary expenses such as too many shows that many don’t watch. Cut back on that and make the core product what it should be.

They've wrecked Couch and 360 I reckon . Terrible chemistry on 360 and I don't care for Gary's opinions on things...( apart from that..) Gary suited as the more mature calm host of Couch. Ridiculous change imho.


Yes...wrote an earlier post on Jay. It jars! Seems casting and production have no feeling for chemistry on shows.
None. But...it isn't a deal breaker for me with First Crack. I just try to ignore his inane yapping. He is out of his depth there.
Just host..and let the footy brains do their thing. (I'm aware some find King overblown) but he is only human. Has come up with some fantastic ideas, even if they aren't all great. Joey is consistent.
