It is without question that comparison will be made between the two; especially considering we passed over Valente twice.


Valente is a natural leader and MVP of dominant team from the U18 Championships.

Foley is worker who was passed on everyone in 2017.


Valente is being lobotomised by the purples, is slow, turns like a bus and has question marks over his running capacity.

Foley is a member of the premiership dynasty, an inside beast that can’t be tagged due to his ability to outrun the opposition.

Plus he has an excellent name for memes.



For me, the debate is already over – Foley gun; Valente lobotomised crab.

To be fair Adelaide wouldn't have been confident of keeping him, he's only from Adelaide - with all his family & friends there and a very proud South Australian ....however he did say he is against psychological experimentation in his interview so that in itself would have been enough.

Comparing apples and oranges .

We didnt pick valente because we picked a much more athletically gifted inside mid in O'Neill.

Foley is an outside mids who added more contested work this year . But the outside is his bread and butter .

We were never going to pick 2 inside mids as we are pretty set atm
