Great from Brewster, really staking his claim and putting pressure on the club to keep him around as Firmino's back-up. It'll be interesting to see what Klopp decides to do, whether they think he'll benefit from having a season as a starter somewhere I'm not sure but he's certainly mounting a case to be kept around.
Brewster is a first teamers that's the plan from a year ago. That's part of the reason why we didn't buy a forward last year but loaned him our after a month due to Firmino starting weekly. Brewster is ready.

I hope we give Brewster the chance to be Bobby's back up this season, he certainly knows where the goals are.
We haven't looked great though, we look similar to the team that came back from the covid break rather than the one that was so formidable before the season was postponed.

Pep is at City though. Inter cant afford him, doubt Juve could either. Dont think he goes to French football. He desperately wants to win the CL and him joining that City squad pushes them over the edge.

I'd like to see Messi in the Premier league, although I don't think it's a forgone conclusion that City will win everything if they do sign him

City seems the only logical place Messi could end up which wouldn't be great news for us haha

If you’re suggesting that Barca may go after a Mané or a Salah as replacements the same way they went after Coutinho and we profited from that .. that would not be a good thing for us at all so no hope that does not happen

What player that is our genuine best 11 does everyone want to relegate to the bench given everyone seems so desperate to buy buy buy?? I actually like that we are sticking with a squad unlike city and Chelsea who use and abuse and upgrade every year..
Do we actually need to upgrade?? If so who?? Any upgrade means a firminho or a fab Hendo become bench players and probably don’t stay in that case
Only thing I would like to see is a centre back to the rotation makes me nervous that vdv plays so much and I’ve always been a bit worried how much we play our front 3 so a back up to that rotation but in saying that looks like Brewster is ready to go and we haven’t seen what minamino can do after only buying him in jan ..

Thiago would make a difference and to me it makes sense that he can play alongside Milly for a season.
Other than that our only imnediate need is a 4th CB but I have read that Jurg was considering using Fab as our 4th choice CB.

Milner is 34 and on his way out. Wilson/Grujic are likely to be sold this window. We have a definite place for him in the squad IMO.
