Terminator (T7, reboot again?)

Came across a Fun Fact about T2, that I had no idea.

Edward Furlong went through a significant growth spurt during the filming of T2 and that he is much younger noticeably in appearance during the desert scene compared to other scenes.

Dark Fate absolutely butchered his character. The softer and comedic overtones of the T-800 started in T3 (albeit a few moments in T2), Genesys elevated it and then Dark Fate pissed all over it.
I definitely believe this is one of the reasons why this franchise failed. FFS if I want a comedy, I will watch one instead.

The soft/comedic overtones of the T800 in T3 spoiled what I believe could be a decent movie even now in 2024, if there was a directors cut. I wont even get into Loken's breasts as the TX enlarging when the cop arrived. :$

T4 for that reason is a very underrated movie in the franchise. It was a dark gritty approach to the Terminator franchise.

T3s story with T4s seriousness would have been perfect
T3 is a very decent Terminator sequel to T2, if you could edit out some really stupid scenes that destroy the tone and seriousness of the movie.

I mean does this was just so unnecessary.

Terminators 3, and Genesys failed because they tried to copy the T2 blueprint.

Salvation was a good idea, just executed badly. The video game "dawn of fate" (mid 2000s one of the best Terminator games AND games in general from that time period. I scored it for under $30, when it was $89 months earlier) told a futuristic story much better and the catalyst for Kyle Reese being sent back to 1984.

Dark Fate was good, it just borrowed too many elements from prior sequels.

I'd still see a Terminator 7, it hasn't gotten to Police Academy levels.... yet.
