No way something like that would get swept under the rug if it happened these days.
What actually happened with Scott West and Simon Cox??

To save you going through 69 pages of this thread, here’s the long and the short of it..
West = Carey
Cox = Stevens
Ok, rings a bell now. Was West happily married at the time?
For what it's worth, Cornes said the other day on 3aw that the relationship between him and Primus "is still very frosty. We say hello, but that's pretty much it"Kane wrote that in 2011, when Primus banished the older guys to the SANFL during his rebuild, That he, Chad, Pearce, Motlop, Surjan, Salopek & Ebert called themselves the 'Forgotten Seven'......
I have no answer, but Wallace said recently on SEN that he and Jeans had a big falling out, so he had to leave, because he might not have got a game any longer at HawthornAnyone know what Wallace did ?

No doubt this is common knowledge, but he reckons he would've most likely been traded from Port, but then Primus got the arse, so things obviously changed.
I believe it was true. Caro did a story on it at the time. I recall it had a photo of Scott West at the Shrine of Remembrance on St Kilda Road.Yes he was. I was just reading some threads on it from 2001 when the story first started doing the rounds on bigfooty, and some respected users who are still active on bigfooty 16 years later are adamant it’s not entirely true.. so who knows really
Didn't Jeans play him on a half back flank rather than centre in the '86 grannie and Wallet cracked the shits.I have no answer, but Wallace said recently on SEN that he and Jeans had a big falling out, so he had to leave, because he might not have got a game any longer at Hawthorn
Take it to the bay you weapon.
76 hey? Do if you were born then you must've jumped on that Carlton bandwagon expecting years of unbridled success well past 1995.
Pretty telling that you've had to resort to bagging Carlton. No defence of the scumbag murderous Milburn.
Nup it was similar at Hawthorn. Have heard this from several AFL players.I guess that's what happens when an ultimate professional with winning attitudes and experiences mixes with a bunch of soft *****
Okay I'm supposed to let some keyboard masher call one of our former players a murderer. Great logic.
Smartphones, internet, social media etc as they've appeared and involved mean mean you $%^# up at breakfast time and by lunchtime it's a meme.No way something like that would get swept under the rug if it happened these days.
Not murder, but his actions led to someone being killed.
I'm looking forward to the answer to this.You're not somehow confusing Milburn with Ablett Snr are you?
I'm looking forward to the answer to this.
Yeah I know what/who you're referring to, and if I'm choosing to play here at the end of a boring shift that's my business.Yeah nevermind, read back further after posting.

If he's so hated why was Mitchell the guy who took control before extra time against Port, and brought your team together, instead of the guy who's been captain for years?I can confirm this would be the case. As I was told by a current players sister about issues with Sam Mitchell and the playing group. Obviously has a set way of doing things and standards he wants met.
He is apparently not the most liked bloke going around and they would be suprised if he stayed on coaching at the Eagles in 2018...
I'm not a respected poster but was around then.Yes he was. I was just reading some threads on it from 2001 when the story first started doing the rounds on bigfooty, and some respected users who are still active on bigfooty 16 years later are adamant it’s not entirely true.. so who knows really
Never knew Milburn killed someone. I'm hardly surprised that he wasn't charged. Boys will be boys after all. In America he would've got 10 years.
