Discussion Tasmania AFL Jumper Design

Hey Guys, Thought I would throw a few ideas together for a Tassie Team now it's looking much more likely to happen! Personally I think they have to use Green as there main identity, its already associated with the state and is unique in the league so have tried a more traditional concept and an all green version as well which would really set them apart from the other teams

I think it's a forgone conclusion that they'll go with Devils, but it be nice to see some more left of field names. Pirates, Convicts, Islanders, Mariners, Falcons, Sharks just a few ideas.

This it the best one I have seen yet. Tricky to normally make all those colours work well, yet you got the flow perfectly. The colours stand out more than just a couple of strips like on the TAS rep top they use for the under 18s. Really dig the home version. The V shape is perfect, because it can represent the shape of TAS as how it looks on a map. Reckon the away shorts or socks even might be better coloured for the away version, so its not to white.

Yeah green absolutely has to be their identity, and like others have said here, I’d like to see them avoid the yellow and red state colours. imo, a two greens set up would be great, thinking Aston Martin F1. A primarily dark green base with light green as the secondary. Aston Martins F1 shades of green are a bit gross but I like the idea.

I agree, All green would be very unique to the team. Would look great in the audience seats as well. I went to a Austin FC game a few years back and the sea of green looked so epic in the stadium.

I'd prefer a nicer shade of green myself. Look how clean Celtics in the Scottish leagues tops look right now. I think the current shade feels more jade than green. The league is lacking the one common colour that is nice when combined well with the right secondary.

I do like the TAS one though don't get me wrong. Should do TAS colours as home, and green/white away

Green and white OR
Green, red and white

Those colours really pop together and look great. Not the dull dark green though a nice vibrant one.

We all know there are going to be some amazing concept designs, people will put a lot of thought and effort into honouring Tassie's heritage and really bring a spark to the Apple Isle team, then the AFL will go something like this.

In terms of royalties, I would like 20% of any merchandise sold and would like to retain animation rights.

After the thought that went into Gold Coast and GWS I worry you might be right!

This was an idea I came up with tonight. I really like the idea of just using green and white and in particular not just using the state colours. Obviously this one is a nod to the Tassie state jumpers. Something similar to what port have done by using the SA design with their own colours.

Another really nice design on here. Nice work. And an away top can easily be made just by switching the green and white around.

This is one I posted on another thread, not polished but had an idea for something.

Pretty straight forward, the back looked off so I got some inspiration from the horizontal white marking many Tassie devils have across the bottom of their back. Feel free to adapt, refine or come up with an away.

Hope this stuff with Warner Bros is bs and they get the name Devils. Got to thinking about an alternative and I haven’t heard ‘Brewers’ mentioned. Given the history of Cascade, James Boag’s as well as the success of some newer breweries.

Opens up the potential for a jumper that uses the rings from old wooden beer barrel to design some hoops using a different pattern in terms of spacing.

Here’s a rough idea. 8731281E-088C-4246-9C6C-D2EF722A816C.png

No white anywhere in the uniform would be ideal. Waaaaaayyy too many AFL clubs feature white in their kits. Something that visually pops and is distinct from other clubs on the field. I thought this looks OK, though admittedly it's basically a vertical South Sydney. Yellow number on the back, not white.

They already own the rights to Tasmania Devils, so the WB thing is fake.
