Twenty-one AFP police and analysts, who are an experienced squad of counter terrorism investigators, will deploy nationally to incidents to investigate:

• Urging violence against members of groups;
• Advocating Terrorism;
• Advocating Genocide;
• Using a carriage service to make a threat; and
• Using a carriage service to menace or harass.

Here's CCTV of the suspect responsible for defacing the Synagogue in Sth Sydney. We only saw a swastika and something else that was a bit tamer than what was on the rest of the building.

He has a very bushy beard, or is it a scarf? Also, he might have been hit in the nose a few times and his septum is potentially collapsing. He shouldn't be too hard to find.

May be a fighter.

Am surprised they haven't covered up their face and hands.
He'd be very likely to know that he would be caught on CCTV.

Maybe the nose is a falsie and/or he has used something to deliberately whiten his facial and hands skin to make it harder to ID him.

They probably already know who was responsible for it and don't need the public's input.

Looks very much like there was something in their hands that was passed between them, that has been removed from view in these pics by the blurring.

The DT is reporting this morning (see link a few posts back) that the 'counter-terrorism team' will be assisting in the (Sydney) Allawah Synagogue incident.

'Assistant Commissioner McKenna said the counter-terrorism team would also assist with the investigation.'

As of yesterday late afternoon, in the NSW Police news release, the Police only mention one of the two people in the CCTV footage, who they describe as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of medium build, and with a long brown beard.

Could this maybe imply that they have already spoken to the other person (female?) in the CCTV footage?

'Investigations underway after offensive graffiti located in Sydney's south​

Police are continuing their investigations after offensive graffiti was located on a synagogue in Sydney’s south this morning.

The incident is believed to have occurred around 4.10am today (Friday 10 January 2025) on Railway Parade, Allawah.

Officers from St George Police Area Command were patrolling the area when they came across the graffiti and commenced inquiries into the incident.

As investigations continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of medium build, and with a long brown beard.

The man was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants with a white stripe on the side, and aviator-style sunglasses.

The NSW Police Force takes hate crimes seriously and encourages anyone who is the victim of a hate crime of witnesses a hate crime to report the matter to police through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or through Triple Zero (000).

It is important that the community and police continue to work together to make NSW a safer place for everyone.
