They beat the Demons in their last home game.North will set themselves for this they need a scalp especially at home.
Will probably be our toughest match from the first 3 rounds.

Hope we don't start slow coming off the bye.
Hmm only really started slow against Freo
Don't really agree with you here. From memory, we had a low period before half time but had fought our way back to be within a few points when Ollie had his brain fart. At the game, I felt we dropped our heads a little after that and that's when the Hawks powered away.Hawks game too margin flattered us

No we didn't, there was only one goal in it either way until half way through the second quarter. If we didn't start like a pack of lazy donkeys we wouldn't have needed to 'come back", again we started very slow

We kicked the first 2 goals of the game
And then did nothing, it was a lazadazy match where the side went in and out trying to burst football their way to a win again. Margin flattered us, Much preferred the Lions loss there was way less of this just beaten by a much better footy side and that happens
I definitely wouldn't be putting a line through himI hope Cleary is back. He will also have a point to prove for different reasons.
If we stick with the 3 talls up forward, assuming we don't get anyone back, then I think the Cleary for Sheldrick change is the only one. Hanily or Florent sub.
Personally I'd go to 2 talls forward, with Cleary's inclusion allowing Heeney and/or Chad to go forward a bit more.
Out: Ladhams Sheldrick
In: Cleary Mitchell (as sub)
Mitchell sub as he can still play VFL next day, and it'd be out of him, Sheldrick, Paton or Kirk really. Given we don't actually know how Caleb was going in the last 2 VFL practice matches, I'm making an assumption here that he's a better option right now than what we've been seeing from the others.
What measure are you using for "best ruck"? Because it's not hitouts or hitouts per ruck contest. How is Ladhams out? He was our best ruck for starters in the last game. Heck he was the only forward that led at the ball all day long.
I'd almost go unchanged which means Cleary stays in the VFL for another week.

He added more forward yes, though I think there's some hyperbole there.
Grundy is our best ruck, I don't think Ladhams outshone him, despite a few great moments, and with the bye, I think Grundy is still #1 coming out of it.
If we stick with 3 talls forward, Ladhams remains.
If we go back to 2, which I prefer, he's the one who misses (not that he inherently deserves to be dropped).
Unless it's further punishment, there's no reason to keep Cleary in the VFL with some of the players (form) we have running around in seniors currently.
Watching the game, both Grundy and Ladhams had some good moments around the ground. Ladhams up forward got the points. But when it came to the ruck contest, I'm not sure how Ladhams was the "best ruck". He had 7 hitouts from 30 ruck contests, while Grundy was 23 from 38.Hey if you want to take Hayward out for Cleary I'm all ears, but we need two rucks this week against Xerri assuming he's fit, Grundy against Xerri lol, exactly how bad do you want it to be? On form this year Grundy shouldn't be even in the team let alone the starting ruck.

I am basing my call on going to 2 talls forward, which I believe you support, although I guess that might have changed.
The whole game counts. Close matches aren't just won or lost by performances in the last quarter.Watch the last quarter again, that's why, when it counted he was the best one. I'm all for the 2 talls, but has to be the more mobile ruck to do it surely. Can always give Cleary another week, what is there to lose going unchanged?
This would improve the team imo, but I reckon Hanily probably more deserving of at least a sub spot than a couple of others.Cleary: In
Hanily: Out

Plus, Grundy can hardly do anything to compare with from the bench can he? Up until that point, they had both contributed in the last.
If you think playing an out-of-form player instead of an in-form player is nothing to lose, then sure, leave Cleary out. This would appear to be another head-scratching opinion.
