Round 1 bye, that's disappointing. We had Round 2 bye last season :(.

Hopefully next season we'll be able to be treated with some more respect!

Thank you.

Should have just done 14 matches I reckon, bring it back to a single round robin followed by two double ups. Blended match outlier could be Wonders v Old Boys again and we can finish by mid-June allowing for ample time break mid-year.

So 22 - 29 June are the critical dates for us Furies.

And the Lord said on the 7th day: 'Let Falconista do the Sweet-FA Fixture, Ladder and Statistics Thread cause I can't be bothered with that sh*t'

This is feasible for next season. I felt we cut too close for comfort to Christmas last season, it won't hurt to buy a couple of weeks in the second half of the year.

Festival of Qooty is always an option to speed seasons up and add a little bit of a flair once a season to help get out of the rut of monotonous weekly match threads, saves 1-2 weeks depending on how you do it. I know not everyone is a fan but heck, not many are a fan of the bye and yet we put up with it instead of folding the Furies.

Definitely value in doing a longer v smaller season each year, just as long as there's some variety and teams don't play some teams 4 times each year and only other teams twice.

Can always conference teams pre-season when doing the fixture to ensure that requests are kept (each team should get 1-2 out of 4 requests for double ups) but so too, helps with creating fixturing blocks. Alternatively, draw lots and stiff shit - that's just what it is each season. Run a single round robin and then you run your conference games as the outliers, 3 groups, 4 4 and 5. Always some inter-conference games need to be played to round out the outliers but it's the only option to keep the season looking semi-normal, ensure variety and just to clarify when I say conferences, this is purely for building the fixture. It has nothing to do with the ladder or how teams progress. I realise you're probably like wtf but it all makes sense in my head anyway haha.

Let's just do two games a week. Games on Wednesdays and Sundays. Every team plays each other twice. Maximum bye break is four days.

Simmers love me.
Well it wouldn’t be that bad if teams remained the same for both matches. We’re going down a rabbit hole here though…

I don't really care to be honest. I was just having a bit of fun with that suggestion.
