I imagine it has been in the works for a while.

They just likely waited so they could tell the players face to face.
Yeah, players have been off season.

We went straight from Grand Final to trade period. Could have done it just before the draft but none of the players were back

Cox was at the draft and was the one meeting the players.

I imagine he knew.

Tom Morris is a campaigner for trying to bring up gossip bs between Parker & Horse. He should remember where he's coming from...getting a bit too big for his head again. He needs to show a bit of respect.
Rubbish , have a proper listen to it , just said these things don't help

I did, I get you like him but I'll call it out. There's no reason for him to say it away apart from click bait & generating gossip.
It's true , not everyone has a perfect relationship with their coach in all sports . Of course he was disappointed and it wouldve got worse if he stayed

I agree. It stinks of a journalist trying to latch onto the story of the day with a scoop of his own. It bears no actual relevance to the story. I don't think anyone would believe that Horse decided to end a 14-year coaching tenure because of a falling-out with a player.

Besides, if true, I don't think it reflects negatively on Horse at all, but actually Parker.

He wasn't being negative at all and said it probably had no bearing on the result , but there hadn't been anything of that note in his tenure . Parks wasn't happy at times and probably only needed 1 in the VFL

Then why run it on the day that Horse's departure is announced? I think you know the answer...

Most players would be unhappy in the VFL.

Our team was absolutely flying when he was playing there, and Longmire didn't go out and bump that player, Parker did.

No doubt Parker would have been disappointed at times last season. But I doubt that his relationship with Longmire is ruined, nor do I think it was a driving factor for either leaving the club.

Interesting fact. I've seen Parker and his family who I have family ties with liking many Swans posts on instagram since he left, however none of them have liked a single post today regarding Horses retirement from coaching. Make of that what you will.
