James Holmes has played at Clarence since under 10s atleast.

Keegan Ryan played at North Hobart.
Keegan Ryan played a couple of years at Glenorchy as a junior, maybe Holmes did? PlayHQ only goes back to 2008 so potentially a year or 2 before he went to Clarence?

Anyone Know how Dane Swan went?
Kicked 2 goals while he spent most of it playing at half back, but would venture into the middle. Got a few possessions here and there.

Are there many father sons in the comp? Could be an interesting game to play.

Looks like clarence have a lot looking at their team sheet

If there’s such a rule then Keegan Ryan and Keegan Wylie would be one pointers at Glenorchy given their Fathers played there in the 90’s.
I don’t believe there is a father son rule as such.
All premier players were supposedly reset to 1 point if they were staying put.
1 point also if they played 40 games at their feeder club providing they had an agreement in place.
Also all premier clubs got 40 points to start.

Interesting though points are very odd at some clubs players , dodges for example have many ex TSL players that are clearly under points value, they are also interestingly awarded 38 points which makes no sense as they have hardly missed finals in the past 10 years

There is a “family connection” rule, father or grandfather needs to have played 50 or more senior games, or something like 80 club games, in order to be reduced to 1

Yerp hence James Holmes was 1 point.

Some of the points look out of whack as some have moved to an SFL Div 2 team that is considered in the zone of a Premier League club. If a North Hobart player goes to Hobart for example they are reduced points.

Hobart should thank their lucky stars they only lost bye 142 points tonight.

Their fitness levels looked disgraceful. They have spent a lot of money yet started with two 100 point floggings.

CAn't disagree with that. Went in and had a look at that one, their second quarter was good but they desperately lack skill.
What's happened to Christensen? Thought he was supposed to be playing coach?
One thing I did notice was Harvey was still running around playing 1s for Hobart, he'd be getting up towards 50 by now so they've obviously not recruited a lot [or can't because of the PPS, same as Claremont].
Cygnet should be in the premier league but are weak as water and happy to be a huge fish in a small tank. Should be made to go up IMO.

Luke Dunstan is a good pick up for north Hobart

The fact Cygnet weren’t made too shows how weak the leadership is.

Would of made it 7 and 7

Even numbers in both comps is ideal - if it’s avoidable, you don’t want anywhere up to approx 175 men and women’s players not playing on any given weekend if the two clubs with the bye both had seniors, reserves, boys colts and a women’s team playing.

He had some surgery before the season and isn't playing this year. I've no idea what happened but he mentioned at the season launch he was out for the season.

Lauderdale were far too good for Glenorchy, the Pies weren't very disciplined at all during the game, getting frustrated and had a few spot fires during the game. They looked a little slow too.
