Fritz Holzer is the worst ground in the SFL by far. Facilities putrid, surface putrid and the size of a primary school footy oval….even the Toolbox is bigger!
They have renovated the ground it's now fenced and the changerooms are double story with balcony im sure a private school football team will enjoy the ground.

Ye agreed that visitors rooms was the size of a toilet I remember we all couldn’t change in there at the same time and the ground was tiny and one end was completely mud and the other end plenty of grass it was like playing on two different grounds and we had to go a fair way into a gym to get a beer and food i think it was the first year they moved there horrible place not even up to junior standards south Yarra have been shafted a fair bit over the years

Watched some of the footage over the weekend, dandy west sneaky dark horse? Clayton also looked pretty average versus south yarra think they were going to have a walk over, didnt get a chance to watch the lyndale v narre

Two horse race between halal and poomas.

At this stage I'd say maybe dandy and fat Narre top 4

100% correct. A private school football team WILL be enjoying the ground this year it seems, at the expense of the South Yarra Football Club and possibly some other local community groups as well...

Well Boorondarra Council as we know is a Toff council plus South Yarra is in Stonnington shame they cant find them a ground but when your a struggling Division 4 club you would find it hard to survive.

Which one? All the old boy affiliated clubs in that area already have substantial sized ground with decent facilities. Shame for SY if they have been booted but why would any senior club, private school or otherwise, be lining up to play on that ground? I know the facilities have been given a makeover but it is still a postage stamp and if memory serves the parking is horrific. Perhaps a locally based junior club have made representation for tenancy.

Does anyone know which footy team Jackson Warne plays for?

Is there some context question to this in respect to the quoted comment regarding Fritz Holzer? FWIW I think he’s more of a poker player than a footballer but understand he went to Brighton Grammar and grew up in that part of the world. If he plays/played I would assume it would be club located in that part of the world.

He mentioned in an interview Wednesday that he was playing at a local club with mates

Round 2 tips

Clayton vs doveton - 1 point
Hallam vs narre - 60 points
Moorabbin vs south Yarra - 50 points
Lyndale vs Dandenong - 14 points
Interesting round 2 this week

spoke to a few mates during week from various clubs about how they are tracking etc majority are positive about years end.

Clayton v Eagles- clays here by 33 , mate from the clays saying more they gel better they will get and have some decent fire power that could have a few sides struggling to hold out

hallam v narre- hallam here i think narre will be competitive for a half before hallam run over the top to win by 70-80. Mate from hallam saying they confident in this group whilst only recruit a couple they believe it's enough

moorabin v sth yarra- moorabin by 42 unfortunately haven't spoken to anyone here

lyndale v dandy - I'm going to go dandy by 20 here , speaking to mate from pumas they have 6 7 out in ones and are looking foward to seeing how there depth goes. great opportunity for dandy to mark themselves in as a genuine contender. this should be match of the round

good luck to everyone side

Great write up!

What a hot Saturday it was and perfect conditions for footy.
Some interesting results i see across the board

Has Hallam stamped there favouritism in with a smashing of narre sth, As I said previously I seen half of narre sth game other week and still believe they will be competitive with most teams.
I genuinely wasn't expecting an arse raping with no goals to there name.
clayton got the job done easy in there game to , looking foward to when they play a contender see where they are at.
sth Yarra and moorabin looked like a cracking high scoring game, did Yarra cost themselves in accurate kicking?

I went watched what I thought would be match of the round lyndale v dandy and I thought was a cracking game.
dandy jumped the pumas and could of been 5 6 up at quarter time but 2nd quarter pumas put the foot down.
there was alot of good passages of play throughout the day and I think lyndale full foward was the difference kicking 8/9 goals.
speaking to both sides members during the day both had players out and I genuinely believe dandy will be a top 4 side alot to like about there side, just not sure why they use captain number 1 down back he just wants to be free, needs to play midfield.

did anyone else get to see any other games interested to hear some other thoughts on games
