It's essentially 2 firsts and we are still in draft at 14? Since it always seemed to be 10/11 were Richmond's asking point we essentially upgraded 18 to 14 in this trade.

No one got reamed. Richmond's doomed to the wooden spoon and we have an elite player and pick 14.

Upgraded 18 to 14 or downgraded 11 to 14? In the end we got 10&11 just like we wanted. We could and would have taken 18 for baker so I think we’re quite happy really.

Seems a fair deal for both clubs. Bolton is a perfect fit for Freo and their flag push in the next few years.
Tigers needed picks for a tough rebuild before Tassie control the drafts. Both clubs can come away with what they wanted - thanks to WCE for stumping up pick 14 to make the trade happen.

There is a lot of talent in this draft.

Not many first year players come in and play a big first season so most will play VFL early on. We will possibly keep a couple of players who are line ball delisting but can play adequately, Dow/Cumberland. However, these are very high draft pics, so are more advanced than your usual draft pics, so they tend to adapt a bit quicker than speculative pics further down the order. We will have Lynch and Gibcus back with some luck, so that will help offset experience issue.

But we are odds on for the spoon.

Do Freo need Warner? Their midfield is pretty bloody good.
Bolton is more of a need for them IMO.
