Round 5 of Season 35 set up a HUGE blockbuster between the Mount Buller Demons and Sin City Swamprats to see who will remain winless.

The Fighting Furies hosted the West Coast Wonders and demolished them by 49 points. crazywildhorse, JyeDye and Shueygod all had 20+ disposal games while ShaunDuggan kicked 5 goals to power a 3rd quarter rampage that slammed through six goals to the Wonders' one. For the Wonders, damicky tried to inspire with 14 hitouts, 26 disposals and a goal.

The East Side Phoenix had an awful game against the Ophidian Old Boys, going down by 58 points. Despite 5 goals from Itsmyshow, the Old Boys dominated from start to finish with 19 disposals, 5 goals to Ned_Flanders, 22 disposals and 3 goals to Mobbs, The Jesus starred with 23 disposals and 2 goals.

At the BJO, the Coney Island Warriors pulled off a memorable win against the Roys FFC. After a tight first 3 quarters, the Warriors powered away with 7 final quarter goals to end up 38-point winners. Purple7x08_24 played one of the most ridiculous games in the history of the SFA with 5 final quarter goals and 9 goals, 19 disposals for the match. pantskyle was strong in the ruck with 34 disposals and 12 hitouts.

The Gumbies FFC were inspired to a 11-point win over the Las Vegas Bears away from home thanks to a 24 disposals, 13 tackle, 3 goal game from DenieD and 5 goals to Dory_77. The game was close with several game changes but a sealer by rookie Aucklander decided the game. For the Bears, RonnieRaven was prominent with 28 disposals.

At The Golden Throne, the Dragons FFC came from nowhere to stun the Gold City Royals. Coming back from 31 points down at 3QT to win by 5 points kicking 6.6 to 1.0 in the fourth. The performance was inspired by multiple goals from PhenomenalV1 and Ge3ks who had 18 disposals, 9 marks, 3 goals and 4 goals from 6 touches respectively. DragoDelph inspired the Dragons with 20 disposals, 8 tackles and 2 goals while for the Royals Smartys Power was the threat with 6 goals.

In the Underground Stadium, a contest for the ages occurred with the Sin City Swamprats overcoming a 44-point quarter time deficit to win match of the round by 14 points against the Mount Buller Demons. Early part of the game was dominated by manangatang, Greenery and cartwright, but the Demons were scoreless in the third quarter as GremioPower with 39 disposals, 19 hitouts and a goal sparked the incredible comeback. ant555 was great in support with 27 disposals, 3 goals and 6 tackles. Headless failed to make any substantial contribution for the Demons.

I stand before you today humbled and honored to accept the prestigious Mobbs Medal for my contributions as a player in our beloved forum-based association. This recognition means the world to me, as it represents the culmination of hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of those around me.

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Sweet Football Association for bestowing upon me this incredible honor. To be recognized among such a talented group of individuals is truly humbling, and it serves as a testament to the strength and passion of our community.

I am incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to represent the Fighting Furies, a team that has become my second family. The camaraderie and shared love for the game that we have cultivated together have been instrumental in my growth as a player. My teammates, both past and present, have pushed me to constantly improve, and for that, I am immensely grateful.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the coaching staff and the management team of the Fighting Furies. Their unwavering belief in my abilities, their guidance, and their support have played a pivotal role in shaping me as a player.
