The only thing I do to keep up with wrestling these days is listen to Jim Cornette rants.

Funnily enough I've been listening to wrestling podcasts the last week about guys from the 80's and 90's

Been enjoying them, I thought about it them writing my argument for the debate thing, and looked up a couple and down the rabbit hole I've gone!

Haven't been into Wrestling for many years, like since about 93-94, but have loved reminiscing.

I gave up 10+ years ago - but there is definitely some interesting stuff on Youtube etc if you want to hear about the backstage gossip from the 80s and 90s. The craziest thing to find out, for mine, is how horrendous the WWF/E is for remuneration and benefits. The fact that the wrestlers have to cover all their costs on the road was mind blowing to me.

I get business people have to make tough and difficult decisions. And he's certainly navigated the company through multiple tough periods - so full credit to his business acumen and from turning a few territories into a global, billion dollar enterprise. That doesn't really forgive the way he treats his talent though. The use of individual contracts is just appalling.

I think it goes beyond that.

I think he is a real life villain, punishing employees, providing drugs, throwing guys under the bus, ripping people off.

Its more than just being a hard business man.
