Good week, Hawks. Thanks for the banter. It got a bit rough there for a bit...two weeks in a row is a tall order on both sides. We made it through it, though. Still, great to see so many from both teams present for the game. Lots of fun. Enjoy the off-season and relax.

Probably our best game of the season , started well and piled on the pressure to be leading by just 10 goals at the last break. Huge games from some of our star players Knifey Spoony HawkAussie fumbler A Swallow and Hatchy1992 in fine form at full-forward with 6 goals.

Not sure who we play next week (Furies or Roys?) but looking for another effort like today.

Thanks to the Hawks for a great week in the match thread and the sim didnt do you guys any favours today.

Well... that's not the way I would have liked to go out. I must've gotten injured (that damn shoulder again....). I was only on for 33% of the game! Yikes.

Still, I came back on and made a few nice plays:

4 : 15.33 {lHBF} - por_please_ya threads her way through traffic.
4 : 15.35 {C} - Her kick covers more height than distance.
4 : 15.38 {C} - Ohhh Loonerty! You beauty! Sensational grab.

Great win Dragons. We got off to a pretty good start in the first quarter while the second quarter had us on the back foot a bit as they got back into the contest. Our third quarter was awesome, our best quarter of the season which gave us a massive lead at three quarter time while the last quarter was more of a tussle until the final siren.

Some good games by a number of players, Knifey Spoony was best on ground for mine while HawkAussie, A Swallow, AceAndy, fumbler, Pie 4 Life and gym4life all contributed strongly. Hatchy1992 also had a great game with six goals up forward as well.

Nice to record such a strong win and progress to the next week of the finals where a huge game against the Furies awaits. We'll need to bring our "A" game for that one in what will be another tough contest.

To be fair to that comment, I did rack up 25 disposals.

They just didn't translate into goals on my end (and we'll ignore my pitiful efforts at defence as well). Or a win for the hawks. I am stuck blaming everyone that isn't me.
