Welcome to the Match of the Round - Season 23 Round 4
V
An interesting offseason saw beez step down as captain and place HaroLad at the helm. The move was met with bemusement and derision. Fast forward to Round 4 and the Bombers sit on top of the ladder, and have a raft of record breaking rookies.

When he is not busy signing rookies, he also works part-time as some sort of detective, breaking open league-wide consolidators involving high ranking members of the Boys Club™ (and brahj).
Well done Haro and the Bombers for proving the doubters wrong.
On the other side of the bill we have the league's best team. Led by beez Medalist and the league's most consistent poster, Marlowe.
It truly is remarkable how a team can find such a balance between youth and hardened veterans.
Thatsapaddlin is arguably the best player in the league this season. He leads the league in disposals, DT and Exie. I labelled him a Mobbs dark horse a couple of weeks ago, but at this point he can't be considered a dark horse
BigJoeD_ has been in amazing form for the purple and gold. Stepped down from the Admin race to focus on his game and help his team. A league legend at this point.
GreyCrow notched 100 posts last week. This is unheard of for The Royals and an amazing achievement. Should be an EKA favourite
Red mist has quietly been arguably the best recruit in the league. His posting has been A grade and he even had the sense to realise the game was won last week in the first 5 mins, and dragged himself accordingly.
Bet on Blue the newly appointed ruckman has been in great form both on and off the field. It's hard to believe that he is a second season player sometimes, and he doesn't get enough recognition as a result of this.
Hoooops is easily the most improved player in the league. Getting out of Baghdad has done him wonders. None of us at Gold City can take any credit and Hoooops has made this progression completely off his own bat.
boondy been a revelation. Thank god he didn't get thrown down a mine shaft.
Footypie32 has found his mojo again and has matched his posting with his on field performance. Without a doubt one of the most important Royals (potentially of all time)
Nakia has been back to his old self. Can go toe to toe with absolutely anyone and has been playing exceptional Qooty. One of the best team mates in the league.
burningdwarf the future Royal has really been terrific and we all look forward to him wearing Purple and Gold.
Some bloke also kicks a few goals at FF
Captains please have your team sheets in by 11.59pm AEST Thursday
