If the Suns come knocking again we better give doughnuts our blessing to leave
The SUNS won't come knocking for Hinkley. They may be a rabble but they are not going to buy into the cult of Hinkley. As Pt Augusta Power posted above, Hinkley is done as a senior AFL coach.

That won't stop Hinkley's manager from telling Koch that there is interest from the SUNS and the morning TV show buffoon swallowing it hook, line and sinker again.

I’m just over the constant happiness with stability. It just accentuates middle of the table.

Koch, Richardson (and Thomas) convinced themselves that bottoming out and the time in the basement was what caused the crowds and memberships to plummet circa 2010-2012.

So this is why stable mid-table with the odd leap up the ladder for a Semi or Prelim exit every 4-5 years is seen as the perfect model to keep things humming.

They don’t get that it’s all about hope.

There’s a reason we packed out the pre-development Adelaide Oval when we started the day bottom of the league as red hot favourites to take our first AFL wooden spoon.

Looking forward to endless mediocrity is the antithesis of hope.

Assuming koch reads the tea leaves and does finally give kern kern the lemonade and sars albeit 4 or 5 years too late I hope he has zero involvement in appointing his replacement, because as sure as the bloke upstairs made little green apples he will want another innocuous yes man who will keep the stability light on.

We need a bloke who can do the kissing and cuddling when required, but can also be a take no prisoners desk thumper when necessary.

Re coaches, has any one else noticed the Hulk Hogan like forearms on Adam Kingsley?
I don't recall him being anywhere near that size when he was at Alberton.

I liken it to Dick Cheney , Colin Powell and George bush in 2001.
The pronunciation of Powell's christian name always sounded wrong to me, I remember thinking only the yanks could turn the fairly simple Col-in into Koh-lin.

Now for some smart so and so to google it and come back with the response that 300 years or so ago Koh-lin was correct.

I'm at the point where a new coach, new CEO, new President and a clean out etc. isn't actually going to bring me back to being a member.

A new coach etc. does not make any of the fundamental issues with the AFL go away. We're still in the pissant comp, we're still gonna be constantly ****ed by vicbias and we're still gonna be second rate citizens in a competition where "national" means Victorian. There is no point to us in this league at all.
I don't believe this.

I want to see a new coach and a change of philosophy in the board. If the latter doesn't happen, I want to see change at board level. Once that is done, hope springs eternal, I as a supporter am craving that hope to invest myself in, that change that inspires me to believe we can be better .

I don't believe any of these Vic bias things could ever take away from that. Port have always been us against the rest and I don't give a shit if everything is against us as it'd only make eventual success all the sweeter.

Interesting to see what the fallout will be for both teams after the showdown. Nicks and Ken should both be under the pump with a loss.
Nicks will get sacked before Hinkley.

I hate the crows with every fibre of my body but one thing they do which we should be envious of is flick underperforming coaches

In fact i still think Hinkley will end up getting another extension because our clubs administration sucks

I nearly vomited when I read this tweet from the post game presser

Thanking the team that just pantsed and are laughing at us

This is everything from the past 8,500 posts distilled into pure Ken Hinkley

For ****s sake. They use the prison bars as a fix it all silver bullet to please the fans.
Don’t want to hear it muppet. Pack your bags and step aside for Carr to have his go.

If Ken is less stressed in the post match pressers this year I reckon he's told management already he's moving on after this year. Keen to see how he responds during the season.

Why thanks Collingwood?
Because their new president approved us to wear the prison bars.

Its obviously a ridiculous situation but I'm still loving it because it seems to wind up the dumbest feral collingwood supporters which is absolutely hilarious. They basically have been continuously crying since it was announced.

I don't reckon ol' smooth brain meant it that way

The campaigner's just trolling the supporters with that comment.
