Let's hope it develops a life of its own, like the swindling of millions on a fraudulent 'ports' hat, or Chotiko hording all the player issues from the Port Store.

What we really need are Sack Hinkley hats! PM me your CC deets it’ll work out this time promise.

Charlie Dixon calling out other peoples intelligence. Stick to dropping marks and missing set shots from 30 out mate. Oh, and never playing in a Grand Final.

Agree. This thread has become an echo chamber for the same people to scream and yell on the internet. Anyone who disagrees is immediately shut down as a "happy clapper" or "kampaigner" and so the same thing just happens again and again. Those who disagree stop commenting. Threads like these kill forums because the conversation reaches the lowest level and its just the same group saying the same thing. At this point the sign has actually encouraged long term members and fans to come forward and support the club - I've heard it again and again this week on SEN, 5AA, Triple M etc middle age blokes who wouldnt usually ring in have phoned to say they think it's embarrasing and not representative of the club they've supported for years. I've been a member of the PAFC since my parents signed me up over 40 years ago, I now pay for my kids 4 memberships. Watching that $200 a month get deducted makes me feel like I have every right to ring the club and tell them what I feel should be changed, I've spoken to Richo which I think shows that the club listens to its members - I don't reckon you'd get that accessibility with the Victorian club, maybe?

Lol what do we think Charlie’s IQ would be? Seriously though…
People like Charlie (and Jonas/Wines) have no choice but to toe the party line. They are paid employees, bound by clauses that will vacate them from their paid positions if they don't.

They are paid for their solidarity. We are not.

Its up to us. And it has started.

Move him on when Hinkley does. That's ****ing toxic attitude and it should not be tolerated.

****ing idiot complains about people shouting things at him and his feelings then directly attacks those who spent the last half a dozen years getting around him, all for a coach impeding his ability to be a premiership player.

Charlie is a bloke defending his mate don't direct anger there it lies elsewhere. Players are generally the worst judges on what's good for them.

Five minutes after the next coach is appointed they'll be over it.
He's not defending his mate.

He's attacking members of the club that employs him on pretty good coin.

I think there is a big difference in wanting a coaching change because the coach has had an extended run with only moderate success and some of the vitriol being sprouted.

I’m also not sure most fans particularly care who is in change as long as there is success. There has been discontent because of the disconnect between on field performance and off field leadership. It has felt like the club hasn’t listened to its fans.

I’m not sure the ‘sack Hinkley’ sign helped or hindered.

Let me tell you what's going to happen. This way you can prepare yourself.

On the weekend, Port will demolish Collingwood. They will do this because Collingwood is in the top four because of a bottom six fixture and, in spite of what people think, Port would be a top four side if Dixon had played every game of the season. The club will point to this as being proof positive of the connection that the players have with Hinkley, the media will say that beating a top four side away from home proves that Hinkley is the right man for the job. The BigFooty Port forum will protest....you'll probably threaten to not renew your memberships...but in the end, Hinkley will coach Port Adelaide in 2023.

The reason Hinkley will coach in 2023 is the same reason why you think he shouldn't. You're right that people staying away from the club will hurt the club's bottom line and force them to act. But one of the home games remaining this year is against the enemies (points to a picture of Dawson kicking the goal that probably cost us a spot in the finals) of your enemies (points to a photo of Hinkley smiling on the boundary). And while the club can't use injuries and form as an excuse as to why they couldn't get the job done against Melbourne, Fremantle or Geelong - which proves that they probably wouldn't have won the flag this year anyway - sometimes all that is required to get the majority of people onside is the prospect of a complete demolition of Adelaide in the last game of the season.

So, the last four games of the season have now become a referendum, by the players and the supporters who attend the Richmond and Adelaide games, on whether Hinkley should be given an extension that the club didn't have to give him if people had just kept their mouths shut. What do people think is going to happen if we get two 35k+ crowds to the remaining two home games, when we are averaging 27k for the year? The club is going to see the sticker and the discontent as being from an increasingly irrelevant group of supporters on this forum, and marginalise the people who post here even further.

That sticker was a ****ing stupid move. And every person who supported it is as ****ing dumb as Dixon accuses them of being.

Where do you live as an expat?
I’d suggest if it isn’t Adelaide you’re really out of touch!
If it IS you need better mates.

Honestly I don't know why everyone has got so heated up over this. Should have been laughed off from the start by anyone connected to the club. Then dudes on here are acting in the same way. I mean "How dare they say that?" Who cares ? They kick a bit of leather around. They don't save babies from burning buildings.

This guy really doesn't give a damn about the club, it's traditions or particularly the supporters. He arrogantly stood at the back of the AGM, arms folded then steadfastly refused to answer questions whilst sprouting his rubbish about the merits of co-captains. He doesn't get us, he never has and he never will. Our weak leadership has enabled this entitled nobody.

There’s no way we’re beating Collingwood even if they’ve had a soft fixture. Their confidence is sky high. Whereas we only have confidence beating clubs position 12 and under

And when Port don’t, Janus will shift the goalposts and claim victory again.

Like that time he said Adelaide would beat Richmond in the 2017 Grand Final by ‘100 points if both sides play to their best’, but then claimed some special “I told you so” knowledge after Rance and friends short-circuited…

Must be a great culture at Port Adelaide for any player who has a differing opinion.

Not only would the coach shut you down but you’d be intimidated and ridiculed by Dixon and C Cornes.

Chad Wingard anyone?

I've been saying for a while Koch and hinkley have divided and destroyed this club the ramifications will be long term
