Probably?..... Koch is probably a narcissist.
I just know I am sick of his smug, trust me I know better than youse do, attitude. He really thinks he is a talented coach.I don't think Hinkley is a narcissist. Deluded self belief isn't narcissism. Narcissism involves excessive self love and the need for admiration. That's more Mark Williams than Ken Hinkley. Koch is probably a narcissist.
The fact that Hinkley is still standing is testament to the incompetence of KT, Koch and the board. It's not something that Hinkley should be proud of or rubbing in the members' faces.Hinkley's opening comment re 'Last man standing' and "I'm still standing" are the verbal equivalent of the one or two finger salute.
He has done plenty of them. It's all about him and always has been. His words at the b&f were very "Custer's last stand". Poor old brave Ken. Ultimately, the consistent poor results will determine his fate. Fancy not meeting the very low kpi targets with such a leg up and undeserved contract extension.Hinkley's opening comment re 'Last man standing' and "I'm still standing" are the verbal equivalent of the one or two finger salute.
Custer had poorly trained and equipped men at the Battle of the Little Bighorn and had no answer for an opposition with superior tactics. I can see why Hinkley would identify with that.He has done plenty of them. It's all about him and always has been. His words at the b&f were very "Custer's last stand". Poor old brave Ken. “No, he wasn’t a good general, he was arrogant and foolhardy. And he got massacred because he took a single battalion against 2000 angry Indians.”
“2000 Indians? How many men for Custer?”
“211.”
“I like this General Custer.”
“He was a murderer who fell in love with his own legend. And his troopers died for it.”
“I think this is a very good death.”
There is enough talent on this forum to make some noise and be noticed - they have just put energy into the wrong areas. The prison bars, identity, the decision not to sack the coach, are all smaller parts of the larger issue. Need control of the club and we need to make money.Honestly how bad is this. Starting from the top.
We have a league that is rigged in every way to support teams based in Victoria, where the grand final is played at Victorian teams home every year.
The league also has extremely poor officiating, poor rule changes and a trade and free agency period that assists only the recently successful clubs.
Ontop of this, our club, Port Adelaide has a coach with a gun held to the head of the club, with a list which is throwing out it's best talent on the vibe of the thing. All while the board and administration outwardly go to war with members over their differences of opinion. Breaking with traditions held dear by supporters in what we all knew would turn out to be a catastrophic move. We also have facilities which are becoming dilapidated and failing to compete with other clubs, who get given grants for their new facilities while we get told to eat cake, despite pouring millions into community programs.
And wait there is more.
We happen to reside in a state where everything is deliberately rigged against us to feed our hard earned straight into the coffers of a league that hates us so much that it places extreme limitations on our ability to play our best sides in their league all while pocketing every cent we make to go to the clubs that demand these sanctions be placed on us in the first place.
Why. *******. Bother.
This s**t is completely pointless, fu** it.
