If ken doesn't make it through the season which game do people think will be kens last.? You know koch will hold on to hope for as long as possible but there will be a breaking point eventually I'm going to predict round 13 against Gws away. Which would be ironic if it were to be that game

We are tracking to get obliterated in the first Showdown, which for some reason is in Round 9 (which has to be the latest it’s ever been btw).

There’s no way they let this dingus face the slings and arrows of the next home game — against Geelong of course — if that plays out the way things are going.

There's no way Koch would deny Hinkley one last chance to coach Port Adelaide against the club he loves.

They wouldn't dare sack him directly after a showdown and give the customers the satisfaction it was their club that finally killed Kenny.

Ken will be in trouble if they lose the next 3 games (which is a real possibility). I think the most likely is after the away game to Freo in late May going into the bye. Wouldn't surprise me to see Port at 3-8 entering the bye, at which point the writing would be on the wall for Ken to leave.

Lol imagine enduring all the embarrassment of the past decade of underperformance and shocking results, and making a stand like that (which, you’re right, they would).

If they thought the booing at the Brisbane game was a monocle-dropping disgrace, they ain’t seen nothing yet.

"Oh my god, the crows killed Kenny!" Would actually be a funny title in the advertiser.

I guarantee the logic would be “if he could drag that useless sh¡t’eap to multiple Prelims, imagine what he’d be able to do with Clarry, Gawn & Trac!”
I think the logic is “gettable”

Haven't the club given direction to not show Ken on the big screen since

Would be the first time the crows would regret killing a coach

Not sure on that. That game will be in the middle of winter, at night, in Canberra where we have a 1-5 record. Management will have already pencilled in a loss and have the excuses ready to go

The irony is- Adelaide "killing Kenny" effectively gets this rebuild started 4 months earlier than scheduled. They'd prefer our pain be drawn out for as long as possible.

If all the news stories are about how much Hinkley is getting booed at the Showdown there is absolutely no way he survives beyond that. He will be booed everytime the Crows score.

"For a $200 tax-deductible donation, your name, or a name of your choice will be proudly displayed in the players race at Adelaide Oval."

Yes thats Mr Sack Hinkley, its actually quite a common name in Czechoslovakia.
Who could possibly object to the name of our best player and greatest coach, Zak Hinkley?

I haven't looked through previous pages, but Ryan Harris' achievements in his first year with the SACA men's team highlights the impact of coaching and a positive, winning, excellence-driven, never-give-up mindset that doesn't depend on individual brilliance but rather having everyone in the team/squad play their parts when they have to.

Hopefully, Carr can do as Harris did and go from assistant coach of a failed team to a premiership-winning senior coach of the same group very quickly.

They really thought Ken would do well enough to give him a farewell game at the end of the season, likely alongside Boak to try and boost attendance/stop the booing otherwise

They thought they'd be thereabouts competing for a flag this season. Wouldn't surprise me if they thought the farewell game for Ken was going to be on the last Saturday in September such is their delusion.

Or the Club could see the writing on the wall and announce that the showdown is Hinkley's last game. Would be very on point, making the biggest game of the home and away season all about Kenny...

I'm having trouble getting the Ballarat City Council to give me permission to tie a Sack Hinkley banner between the goalposts at the game here before the Showdown, but I'll keep trying :)
