Certified Legendary Thread Sack Hinkley 13 - Another Crack At This (Stepping down end of 2025)

He’s never understood what makes the club tick.

I still can’t believe he was given any job with the Power after his visionless self-sabotage while CEO of the PAMFC.

Shouldn’t be allowed within 500 yards of Alberton Oval, let alone collecting a wage for 15+ years in various roles since.
He bristled at the AGM when I had the audacity to suggest that Hinkley hadn't achieved anything while he's been at Alberton. I should have hammered the point more than I did - I clearly hit a nerve.

No point. He would've just countered with a screenshot of his bank balance.

Simple - because they didn't have the money to pay out multiple years on his contract.

And yet other clubs do it worse off than what we were, I don’t buy it.

The more I observe this situation from a distance and read these comments, the more I am reminded of the 2022 State Election. Where constant agitation and scare mongering resulted in the downfall of a Government who had no hope of correcting the absolute catastrophe caused by the last administration, mainly due to the large number of cancer cells from the previous regime lingering around to stymie their attempts. I only hope, for the sake of you good people and your enjoyment of the game, and indeed the future of the PAFC, that when Carr ascends to the top job, he does a much better job than the train wreck Malignant Malinauskas and his bunch of socialist criminals are forcing upon South Australia. However, therein I fear, lies the answer. Just as Malinauskas is a cancer cell left over from the previous diabolical regime, so too is Carr. A complete cleanout of all of those cancer cells is the only way out of the mess.

It’s hard to actually be shocked at outrageously stupid stuff on the internet these days but congratulations to you

Maybe up the meds mate

Freudian slip?

Josh Carr on whether he needed to help life senior coach Ken Hinkley up after last week’s result:

“No, I didn't need to lift Ken up at all. He's a big boy. He's dealt with a lot of this previously and as I said, that's the job as coaches that we've got. Externally, the pressure comes on and you like to think that's when we do our best work.”

I loved that too. Second time he's washed his hands of Ken in as many weeks.

I disagree to a point.

They had just finished top of the ladder, lost by a kick in a prelim to the eventual premiers in a game that could have gone either way. So I don't look at that extension as one that was even close to being in the realm of the 2017 or 2023 ones, which were given out not based on performance.

The problem was not the extension imo, but rather the length of said extension. The Board only wanted the extension to be until the end of 2022. I believe it was Richo who pushed for a 2 year extension, and, as a show of good faith for the newly appointed CEO.

The issue with the 2020 extension is that it had to be looked at in the context of the 2017 extension and subsequent failure.

But of course, like all his other extensions apart from 2014, they simply refused to acknowledge the lack of runs on the board and gave him multiple years anyway.

It's incredibly frustrating to hear you say that they couldn't sack him in 2019 because of finances, and then make the exact same mistake a year later leading to an awkward 2022 where he absolutely had to go.

These ****ing losers need to go, every single one of them. We've now got half the board, CD and even Richardson who have all been here for 3 stupid extensions and still can't manage to stop backslapping each other long enough to look in the mirror.

Remember “In Ken We Trust” lol?

I also remember king Ken with the crown.

At the AGM Richardson basically said these were aspirational goals "what would a really successful 5 years look like" that they sold rather than actual goals that they will judge themselves on (not) achieving.

Chasing Greatness was a sham.
"Ok fellas what would a really successful 5 years look like?"
"3 flags!"
"Ok now what about the best case scenario that a bunch of useless muppets like you could produce?"
"Maybe we could celebrate making the finals a couple of times?
"Woohoo!"

Hahahahahahaha

And the fact Koch announced it on Channel 7 news before the members were advised.

That was the day that this club will never get any further money from me until Koch is gone.
Yep rang the next day and told them they could stick my membership up there ass till stinkley and Koch are gone.

He is a pathetic lightweight. I wouldn’t put him in charge of attaching streamers to a stick.

From 6 min 50 seconds, The Agenda Setters from last night.

Gotta love Hodgey. Have never once heard him doing anything other than being a straight-shooter. Well maybe once.

It's part of why he was such a good captain. No fappin' around the bush.

Imagine losing a game by 91 and your first priority is to spend your time watching and calling media outlets to control the narrative. Narcissist.
Imagine preparing a team all pre season for round 1 against a team that's belted us the last 3 times away in front of a big crowd at the G and your first thought is to approach the opposing coach for a bit of a laugh? Look at me, I'm Kenny Hinkley. Dickhead.

Then to top off his childish actions, he rings Kane Cornes because he didn't like an honest analysis of the shit show he coached against Collingwood.

Cornes made it clear to Ken that the supporters wanted him gone 5 years ago.

Hinkley is to Homer as every untried coach is to Frank Grimes.
