Failure of 2021 prelim has never been addressed. It never will be until he is out of the club. We have seen the fallout from it in the last 2 finals series.
And there will be continual fallout. The players are spooked just like the Swans players. And both coaches game plans were unsustainable in high pressure finals. Both coaches should go due to repeat failure when it counts

Feel like the club makes decisions based on focus groups.

I’ve seen plenty of sackings in my time, it isn’t that hard, I mean once the right person makes the call, it’s done. We seem bereft of leaders, I mean who would want to rock the boat when they can all just wander off into summer with a nice payslip, 3rd, job well done…

We have built this moment up for years and years. I wonder how some people on here are going to actually handle the news when it finally does come through!
At least a 3 day bender!

No news can often eventually result in good news, but I too am getting the vibe we are stuck with kern for at least another wasted season.

Koch will never have the cajones to pull the pin on him while he is contracted, he would melt like an ice cube on a bbq under the heat applied by the Vic-centric media for dissing their kenny!

I won't be, over the last few years I have realized that there is more to life than Ken ****ing Hinkley and the Ken Hinkley Football Club.

They don't deserve committed members and supporters like us, this is why they will always be the poor cousin in SA, PATHETIC.

The lack of accountability after that game was disgusting and ultimately Hinkley not getting sacked from that game is the reason why until I see Hinkley physically leave or see the obituary, I will never believe he is going/ gone. Our administration is as weak as its ever been in its history.

You were at least two years late already then… 😅

I think the predicament is something like this:

Koch & the majority of the board are too scared to sack him and Tredrea doesn’t quite have the numbers to force the issue.
That’s admitting they faqd up and I don’t believe they have the cahunas anyway.

Ken has a contract and even though he knows he’ll be under pressure from the onset next year, he probably knows he’s not getting a gig anywhere else and also he’s that emotionally attached to this group, he won’t know what to do with himself without them. (“My boys, good boys”)

He won’t be in a healthy space to coach at all. And I can’t believe our board is going to tick off this scenario if this is all allowed to roll onto next year.

To add another layer, we apparently have a coach in waiting who’s dealing with his own personal issues to the point he hasn’t put himself up for some jobs with big clubs and I’m concerned about whether he’ll be able to give his all to such a demanding role because of this.

Ken's erratic behaviour this year pointed to a man who was feeling the pressure significantly.

Hardly the optimal head space for performing at your best, and it's only going to get worse next year, this alone should have made the decision to part company an easy one.

How is this even a discussion FFS.
