It’s only the race that stops the nation because everyone is beyond hammered by 3pm and pass out.

This weeks after match festivities include, wagyu rump steak (cooked to perfection by Grand Uncle Horace ), a variety of Coopers beers and pickle juice. The after match show stars Mozzie19 and his “Bizarre And Disgustingly Massive Things He Can Fit In His Mouth!”

The only condition of entry is that you accept your steak cooked medium rare at the most. Anyone requesting medium or worse will be asked to leave the premises.

It is staggering to behold the difference driving past Flemington (or in my case Randwick) at the start of the day when everybody is arriving all fresh and dressed to impress as opposed to the end when everybody is completely trollied and disheveled and some are no longer even dressed at all

Darn, it was sounding like an awesome shindig until you brought in the no-Zevon rule

You say that like it is a bad thing.

Rules is rules. I refuse to defile quality beef by overcooking it.

Oaks Day here was the worst.

They also probably have no recollection of the main event of the day.

Now, now The Wonders as the important Foundation Club have worn its history with fairness and honour.

As a humble fan of the Wonders, their Skips (even Haydo) are the stuff of legend.

Leaving our team aside TDC has presided over great recruitment and an unparalleled era of on ground success.

Ha! I live about 5mins from the track, and have most of my life. I find it pretty funny.

Back when Kensington was rough the locals used to have BBQs on the nature strips of Epsom Road and shout (mostly) good natured abuse at the toff in their fancy cars stuck in traffic.
