Additional respect for our own milestoners this week, namely:
Chezzalenko Reborn who played his 150th Roys game this weekend (he has 274 games career-wide).

And a team celebration is on the cards, held over from last round when we played our 300th home game (289 at the BJO, 11 at Renown Park), and also enjoyed our 150th win at home! (146 at the BJO, 4 at Renown Park). Each achieved last week in Round 16.

Each a great achievement. None appropriate for an official team sheet.

All this assuming I know how to count.

Well that's it for our Sweet FA premiership season folks! So near but yet so far as we stumble in the final few minutes and sneak out of the finals. Not the cause of the spankings tho, those are purely a result of popular request!

Barrels Award - Round 10 (v Wonders)​

Welcome back to the Barrels Awardaganza as we resume operation and work through the second half of Season 38!

In Round 10, we had our highest posting total as a team for the season, but this isn't about that. This is about how cool and awesome the enemy was.

Our voters declared 3rd place be awarded to ClarkeM !

Barrels Award - Round 11 (v Dragons)​

We met the Dragons twice within a few rounds this season - here is the first meeting.

It was a quiet thread, but leading the way were a few of the big names from Beldribilin.

3rd place for the Barrels Award goes to Ljp86 !
In 2nd spot it was time for DragoDelph to be recognised!
And winning the Barrels Award for Round 11, congratulations to T2B_ !

Barrels Award - Round 12 (v Bears)​

As is our habit, we had a loss v the Bears when we met them in Round 12.

It was a good chat had with many of the opposition, but of course than can only be one Barrels winner.

(or two, or maybe three, if there's a tie) (technically there can be an infinite number of winners)

But this day we know that Chipmunk didn't win due to his receiving an honourable mention (which means worse than 3rd but not zero).

In 3rd spot was Millky95, which is coincidentally the number you get if you divide the 9 by the number you first thought of, and also ignore the 5 entirely.

2nd place is to be awarded to tony , which coincidentally is the number you get if you take the first 2 characters of his name and wedge a W in-between, W happening to be what "wedge" starts with.

But it's no coincidence that the Barrels Award for Round 12 goes to Cap , who was such a clear winner that one voter (almost) literally said "Cap, **** the rest".

Barrels Award - Round 13 (v Demons)​

When we met the Demons for the second time this season, we expected a fun thread, and we weren't disappointed.

But they can't all have barrels, else they'd be stick in the ceremonial hall, crammed in between all their barrels, collapsing from the crush and potentially the centre of an intense barrel-related tragedy. There is no way to survive a room full of too many barrels and nothing but flesh to withstand them. So we're just giving out one barrel to one player, and saying pleasant things about the others. Everybody is welcome to imagine their own barrels. There is nothing I can do to stop you. Your limit is your imagination.

After chatting with my fellow team members it was decided that cats2rise and DERO were deserving of honourable mentions. I honour you both through this act of mentioning you.

Scoring in 3rd place as a result of the calculations , Gralin got no honour, but did get points - which is much better than all that empty honour. Well done Gralin!

In 2nd place was moginie , who was singularly responsible for each of our wonderful days that week. It makes me shiver to wonder what my days might have been like had I not received effective instruction.

And winning the Barrels Award for Round 13, it probably surprises none to learn that the honour (without the mention) goes to Wosh . Congratulations Wosh, enjoy your Barrel!

In Round 16 we met the Royals, and ground out a win as part of our desperate and ultimately futile fight to make the finals.

There were a lot of fun folks to chat with, but I abused my position to ensure we had some kind of hierarchy to bring to a Barrels Award post today.

First up, a couple of folks got mentioned but were not part of the top 3 - well done grumbleguts and Nothing for attracting a thumbs up from my teammates!

In 3rd place, the entertaining manicpie was a joy to run into during this clash! Congrats manicpie!

In 2nd place Cadsky won our hearts and minds. Our hearts are of particular value, and taste yummy. Our minds ... well ... meh ...

But winning the Barrels Award for Round 16 (though not a unanimous choice) was the super GreyCrow ! Enjoy your barrel, GreyCrow!
