Trades Round 8 trades

Think Trac’s track record (excuse the pun) over the last few years makes him a better pick personally. Chad’s a great impact player but isn’t the most Supercoach friendly, quite up and down. Petracca looks to be more in the middle again with Pickett back into the team. Though a couple of the Dees gents on here also think he isn’t necessarily quite back to his best, so guess it’s a matter of whether you think the consistency with Trac (decent floor) and his previous track record outweighs potentially what Warner could give you.

He’s nowhere near back to his best. In fact, he’s miles off it IMO. But it’s hard to see him not being in the top ten forwards for the year and is priced nicely. I still reckon I’d like to have another few looks before committing if I was a non-owner. Playing well against Richmond, and we have WCE this week, isn’t a great guide.

Harvey Langford has actually been the MID to give way to Trac, although Kossie did spend more time up forward last week, but the last quarter Goody through the magnets around a bit and had a play. Suspect Kossie in the middle is part of the next plan, he trained with the midfield all preseason and looked awesome in their against Freo. We’ve been slow through the middle for far too long.

Guessing there's a few of us that'll have a bit of a warchest this week after sending MReid and Davidson off to the cash-cow abattoir.

For those targeting a premium upgrade I'm keen to hear who you're looking at and why?

Pay top dollar for a Naicos, Bont, Butters, Brayshaw before they become unobtainable? Or maybe a fallen premo like Neale, Cripps, Trac?

Feels like an upgrade week that could have a big effect on the rest of the year.

Personally I'd love to pull the trigger on Butters but another R12 bye player seems one too many.

Am now leaning towards Rankine, as a FWD suits my structure a little better. I've gone early on Hustwaite and have $168k to spend on next week's upgrade

Smith over Warner every single day of the week, so #2 is definitely the better premo upgrade. What's your bench looking like though? If you are carrying a bunch of Paton, Hall, Henderson types, it might be a bridge too far bringing in another donut.

I honestly reckon he gets dropped soon.... I've hated watching him this season.... looks slow...no desparation in his game...

If you look at him from i different angle it makes sense: A mid-pricer that's made nearly $200K.

I dunno, just a gut feeling that something's off with him...

Backed my gut with Humpa, may back my gut with Daniel not being worthy of F6...

Hard to gain ground by following the pack, but hey, I left Bazlenka out due to injury concerns and here I am, miles behind the pack. Reckon you just have to stick fat with the really high ownership types. If he gets dropped, deal with it then along with everyone else.

iirc, at uni we had 2 programming courses, 1 was VB, 1 was Java. Outside of some simple scripting, I haven't done any programming in my 9+ year career, so that's probably why I retained this crap.

Java is based on C. You must have done uni 20 years ago because VB has long been dead. .NET replaced it some time back.

DEF: Stone, Carroll
MID: Lindsay, Moraes, Henderson
FWD: Kako, Cleary

Also have Reid, Trainor, Bice, Maric, Hewett on field so I think cash gen is going okay.

Dawson to Baz is one trade. Using two to cull the bastard seems overs. Need to get rooks off field. Thinking this is the two-week play which I can do as long as Chad doesn’t go 110 next week. Can do this as well as the Dawson to Baz trade without using a boost.

He is too good of a player not to average 95+ here and is so cheap. Get a rookie off till the byes and hope he gets to 550k and jump him off to like a SP if the opportunity is there.
