Incredible some of the stuff I read on the game day thread about this game.

Coming up against a Clarko team coming off a thrashing? It was always going to be a tighter game defensively.

It’s not the 80s or 90s anymore. Smart coaches like Clarko know how to set up their teams to not get smashed. It’s more like soccer.

The way we are set up now under another smart coach in Ross is, we say, “fine, you want to flood? You may stop us scoring a lot and moving the ball but you’ll score even less. Good luck winning a game scoring 5 goals.”

Professional performance from the team. Got the 4 points and gained experience playing against a team that was set up with the sole purpose to stop us moving the ball and minimizing damage. It’s not easy moving the ball against such a team. A lot of our young blokes would have never come up against it, hence the fumbling and missed targets.

Take the 4 points and move on.
