Nope
It’s the prospect of continued flooding throughout the entire match being a successful gamestyle in womens football.
It won't be successful.
It's slowly going away, with the top sides being open and attacking.
Occasionally you will get a dour game where 1 side tries to shut it down (Melbourne last night, gc last week vs hawks etc), but at the same time, the crows kicked what was it. 8 behinds?

We’ll see I spose.
GC probably aren’t as drilled in it, Dees won a flag doing it.
Got no doubt in my mind if Dees are up by 15 points against Saints it’ll happen and you can expect it against the Hawks and the Tigers if finals are still a chance for them.

Only the Bulldogs, Carlton and Pies have scored fewer points than Melb.

Melbourne haven't scored much this season because they've been shithouse most games, not any dastardly plans by Stinear.
NM, Essendon, Freo had no troubles kicking quick scores against them this year (Freo got what, 5 goals in the last quarter?). Adelaide get 1 extra shot straight and the strategy is a failure.

Freo was 4 goals with the wind, but I think it’s after the Ess game that he’s gone back to it.
GWS aren’t a strong team.
I think Stinear’s flood is back and he’d rather do that to try and fall into finals finishing 8th rather than giving players in game exp in different positions and trying to develop what players he has.

I think with Lambert out it’ll be a close game and he might not start off that way.
But Stinear’s negative football is coming.

I'm tipping:
PA by 3
Ess by 12
Haw by 24
Rich by 12
BL by 500
Fre by 12
NM by 24
Melb by 3
Adel by 12

Richmond have a poor 1-4 record vs the Cats, but a couple months ago I wouldn't have imagined they end up getting a much better opportunity to improve it than what has materialised this weekend.

I'll probably flip back to the Saints if Lambert's appeal is successful. I wouldn't be all that surprised to see Adelaide kick themselves out of another game--dumb football vs StK and Melb is 100% their own fault imo.

Not expecting full 4-quarter performances from Port Adelaide, Essendon and Fremantle, but just enough efficiency I50 when on top to get the job done.

If North win by only 24, then they don't deserve to be flag favourites, especially if Brisbane win by 500.

Sydney are without their 3 All Australian's and North should be close to full strength with only Kearney missing. The only thing that will stop them from winning by less than 6/7 goals is the weather and according to the BOM they might escape it this time.

North Melbourne became flag favourites by beating Brisbane in R1. Has nothing to do with the severity in which they defeat other teams.
North Melbourne were favourites before the season started.

EDIT: corrected an error

Hasn't been a strong season for speckies so far with a lot of the best aerialists spending too much time on the sideline, so that grab from Scholz has her well and truly in line for the MOTY atm.

No huge favours for Port's % there, further heightening the importance of next week's match against St Kilda.

Once again though tonight's game mostly just looked like a couple of sore and tired teams playing off a 5-day break (having already squeezed in a few of those in the past month).
