Should have been a 5 goal win last week, our forwards missed alot of set shots particularly in the 2nd quarter in DRY conditions,it actually turned into a slog when the rain came down, maybe we would have won by more in the DRY.

Not taking the Lions lightly,we might see another new rule come in against us now the over umpired studs rule has been quashed.

This will be a Richmond versus the World game, media will have strategys laid out on how to beat us while trying to instill fear in our players by pumping up the Lions.

The beauty is all those words fall to dust when they hit the 4 walls of Punt Road.

Pickett can’t warrant a game atm...
Cotchin for the unlucky Ross my probably..

Baker and caddy both took some massive forward strides in their new positions respectively

Hopefully nank is fit and takes chols spot, be really disappointed if they were to drop soldo after his stellar performance..
I think I read Nank would not play this week. Regardless, I am happy with any ruck combo we put out there. Most teams in contention are just using the 1 main ruck and backup being a tall fwd. We seem to be rotating our rucks through the interchange.

I hope Graham targets McCluggage, hit hard.
He and Charlie C are their two elite players in sensational form.
CC crumbs out the back and is a leading marking forward too on the diagonal.
Congest the space so he cannot lead into.
Cotchin in, Ross omitted.

a defender camped in the square would've won cats the game

Id prefer Graham on Neale and Ross on McCluggage, or rotate them between the two..

The key with Charlie Cameron is not necessarily the direct match up, but the structure to not let him get in behind the defence. Chris Scott’s coaching performance was laughable to let that happen. Honestly - clear a space for that guy and he’s gone. They’ve been doing this all year and how the Cats let that happen has me bewildered.

The really good thing is that WCE do the same thing with Rioli/Ryan/Petrucelli who are all quick on the burst and we structured up beautifully to stop this happening.

Sweeper is the key and handing off responsibility if someone needs to push up. Leaving him one out with anyone and it is a recipe for disaster.
Brilliant points. Petrucelli was dominant in the first quarter.

Just putting it out there. Given we play after all the other results have been run and won should Essendon beat Collingwood probably makes it an easy decision to give Grimes the week off, yeah? I guess only concern is losing to Brisbane and having to travel there week one. Just a thought. Not sold. He probably gets up anyway.

I think we can easily get touched up by Brisbane Lions.

Our biggest issue is how we can stop Charlie Cameron??

The trouble is athletically we do not seem to have the backs to go with him defensively. I think Jason Castagna is going to have to go back into the backline to sit on Charlie for us to have any hope!!!

Lions had Cameron one out in the goal square with players like Bews on him so he was always going to kick multiple goals against Geelong that were arrogant!!

Charlie Cameron is your Townsend small forward set up that opposition defences have not adjusted to. If we do not adjust and put Castagna and others supporting in defense we will get beat match up wise as well!!

How bad have Adelaide become since Charlie Cameron left them?? He was that important to them!!
You are ****ing kidding arent you? Went walkabout in the 2017 GF. Castagna to the backline? You would be the most pesimistic poster on here. Hands down

yeah I reckon that would be on the cards for sure.

Our back 6 will be unchanged and they'll be given the responsibility to find the match-ups that suit them lol The same as every week for the last 3 years. I very much doubt we will be playing George down back or bringing in Morris haha Crazy crazy posters lolol

should Essendon beat Collingwood
hope they do so we get a free hit at the lions. will make the weekend a bit more relaxing.
they're in a position to do what the Kangas did to us 2015 though. tank Friday night to rest players then most likely play the same team again (Collingwood) or maybe us in the elim. with a refreshed side. That would also avoid a trip to Sydney.

Someone who gets it... I’m not sure how Cameron is going to get all those out-the-back goals when the space is covered by a Richmond player. Plus, Brisbane have to get the ball into their half of the ground to kick goals.

personally I’m looking forward to seeing if we can go all the way this year and not only stop them scoring a goal for almost 3 quarters, but the whole match. They played their Grand Final last week.

I don’t know - I’d rather play GWS in Sydney on current form rather than the Pies at the G if I were Essendon.

I’m at home trying to work out what’s wrong with the Alarm system and some bozo turns up asking for some mini My Dog toy from Coles. WTF I’ve got sirens ringing and sh1t everywhere and I call my wife up and she’s trying to get me to locate some mini toy trade box. Anyway find the box and do the trade and the blokes so happy as if I’d traded him my gold nugget for a turd in return.
How bloody materialistic is this world today? I grew up with real minis such as the mini skirt , mini minor and mini railway systems and these blokes are barring up over a piece of crap that fits into some cheap box.
Anyhow I decide to look at what else was in her trade box and to my astonishment and lots of PMSL I see these two poor bastards up for trade:

Massive test for the lions IMO, lets see how they go against the kings of the G. Got a feeling they will get a bit lost on the wide expanses of the G like they did against the druggies earlier in the year.

Have had a good year but have been well protected from the best teams for most of the year: eagles R1, pies R5, cats R22 and tigers R23

Keep Grimes locked away for finals so Brisbane don't know what will hit them when Grimes is back and towels up Cameron.

Richmond over Brisbane is the longest streak in the AFL currently, having started back in rnd 13 2010

Adelaide over GC is a game higher (13v12), but only started rnd8 2011, and we'll equal that WHEN we win on Sunday.
I don't think Brisbane will be too worried about that. Below is a list of the hoodoos they have broken this year.

BRISBANE HOODOOS BROKEN
* Will be first finals campaign since 2009
* Beat Sydney for the first time since 2009
* Beat West Coast and Adelaide for the first time since 2012
* Beat Geelong and GWS for first time since 2013
* Beat North Melbourne for the first time since 2014

They are a real danger game. Still think the Richmond gets the win as Lions pretty much have a top 2 spot guaranteed.
