Unlucky from your lot. The 50 against Windhager killed the game, pure bs. Paddy Dow aside from centre clearances is useless.

Thing is, its "technically" there but every time the player is told to come back etc.. It shouldnt matter that he came "From the side" as he was the only player there who could have manned the mark. If we allow players to run over it and be corrected then we have to allow some leeway when taking the mark

To be fair, we had 3 of our starting back 6 out and our midfield was always going to give up first use.

Moving guys like Seb and Jones out for Nas and someone like LDU would make a massive difference. If Steele was still fit and Dow was playing at his best we'd look much better. Frustrating that it's taken this long to play attacking footy.

What were your thoughts on Dow? He seemed to have some good moments but didn't get enough of it.

Well that was another hard watch and their wasn’t many positives to take from another boring Lyon snooze feast.
Windy did a great job on Neale keeping him to under 15 possessions unfortunately the other lions mids out played our insipid midfield.
Cameron kicking 5 which was frustrating and it would’ve been nice to have Patton out there to shut him down.
Bombing it all night on Kings head was annoying as Harris Andrews took 10 intercept marks.
Steele gave his all leading the tackle count unfortunately our mids was just a step behind all night.

The midfield worked well at centre bounces. Campbell makes a huge difference. He had a great first half and fed the mids well. Think we won centre clearance.

We won the clearances but kicked it to a defender more often than not.

Campbell has always been a better tap ruckman then RoMa.

In the last when Henry went into the middle we looked ok.

Our midfield is terrible, let's not pretend it's not because of one papercrack game.

Don't think we had a lot of luck in that one but it was a pretty solid performance from the lads all up. Not easy to beat last year's grand finalists on their home deck, especially with all our injuries basically being in the backline.

Henry was a great get.

Henry looked terrible in the first half then nearly won us the match. Higgo was huge. Marshall plays with the heart of a lion. When ever people talk of flogging Marshall to the highest bidder he reminds why it wouldn't be a good idea.

Keep playing TC and Arie. Asking Marshall for too much week in week out, don't care if TC isn't the future, our mids need to learn to play to a different style of ruckman

Still basically a new team for Ross Lyon . Still working out who plays where and who we want to keep . A lot to like especially the free flowing style and Running game . Has the penny dropped ??
Caminiti has potential in defense. Henry a gun . Bonner can’t play in defense ever again - no interest in body contact. He’s not hill but he wants to be.
Shoey perfect first game .
If Garcia plays well this weekend must play next week as well.

I was a bit mystified by that crucial centre bounce that clearly went McInerney's way but wasn't recalled, in the last quarter. Then we get one go our way and it's recalled.

Umpiring was absolute shit tonight both ways. Way too many frees paid and really stupid technical ones paid and obvious ones missed.
