I suppose we could squeeze him in somewhere.

I'm not liking the lack of Pedlar or the lack of small forwards, but I really can't think of anyone I'd drop with Crouch staying and Dawson coming aboard.
No Milera either.
Right now though ?? I'd have Milera every day of the week.Nope, I'd rather Sholl for that last outside spot. Better player, and likely has a higher ceiling than Milera.
We were 5th in centre clearance differential this year. One of the few stats we were reasonably good in.…good opposition will still beat our midfield at least 60% in clearances…
Right now though ?? I'd have Milera every day of the week.
We rated Milera enough to give him a 5 year deal, if he's fit enough he'll play. Probably instead of Worrell. Can see Pedlar playing ahead of Berry too.
Can't agree re Sholl, and IMO he's a more limited player.Yup, right now. Whilst we rated Milera at the time we signed him, we did so when our outside/defensive talent stocks were low, and since then he has suffered multiple LTIs. It's not exactly common players return after 2 years off and we're looking like we're well on the way to being rich with outside talent now.
With our outside stocks, Sholl is ahead of Milera being younger with a similar form line and really it's a toss up between him and Jones. For me Chayce gets the nod, but that's only because he's the incumbent and I'm more curious in him as a prospect.
Worrell I have replacing Kelly, though indirectly with Doedee being the actual replacement and Worrell playing as a third tall. I also can't see Pedlar replacing Berry, seeing we stuck with Berry for the vast majority of last year. Pedar will inevitably find his way into our best 22, but I suspect he'll need to terrorize the 2nds first.
That said, I think we're firmly at the point now that some talented kids aren't going to break through.
If he's doing full training post Christmas then there's no reason why he shouldn't be playing round one imo.Milera just lost an entire season to a career threatening knee injury, after missing almost the entire season before that to a foot injury, and is barely back running now - he shouldn't be anywhere near the AFL in round 1. He needs at least half a season of SANFL to remember how to play again, and find out if he still can.
It will come down to how much confidence he has in his body and how that translates to early form in pre-season gamesIf he's doing full training post Christmas then there's no reason why he shouldn't be playing round one imo.
Big if though given his run over the past few seasons.
