Speaking to a guy I trust on the inside recently he said that Ross and Rosich were destroying the club and that we're two steps away from being Gold Coast. Happy with this decision but hope we have some good replacements lined up.

Excuse the intrusion but good on Bell i reckon...i think Freo needed someone to make sweeping changes to turn things around.
Ross imo was leading the club no where. Good on him for having the balls to do it.

Ross was starting to remind me of Mick Malthouse at Carlton, the way he was so antagonistic with the media and publicly trying to pressure the club into re-signing him...can imagine he would have been difficult to work with behind closed doors too.

After some big scores earlier in the year, Freo have been really struggling to score and move the ball lately. May be losing Hill & Langdon after losing Neale last year...something had to give.

J-Lo fits Bells model, ex-Freo player. Considered one of the better assistance going round.

He was a forward coach which Freo needs.

Maybe he was being considered for another coaching roll and Bell needed to pull the trigger.
