I've probably played less than 20 1v1s in my life, haven't touched Rocket League in 12 months and have probably 3,000 less hours in the game... I reckon I could take him haha.

I think Ross and co are a little above where I was when I stopped, should get a Bigfooty Duos tournament going or something.

I get super scrappy in 1 v 1, my only weakness/disadvantage (as I see it) is a lobbed ball particularlyif its delivered diagonally. I've tried normal view and ball cam, quite often but it'll sail above me and into the top of the net.

That said I'm getting better at jumping nose pointing up in the air to stop such balls from sneaking in.

Sounds like you and I vs Ross and Xtreme might be a balanced pairing

I just looked it up, last played 12 Jan 2024 so it's almost the 1 year anniversary haha.

Had a player from the opposing team doing this to me most of the game (both in the goal and out in general play).




Naturally I was a smart arse in text chat about it - the funny thing is that I was prophetic - they had a chance to tie the game in the final few seconds - in fact the final shot would have gone in if there was still time on the clock. So I felt that I was proven right

Did nothing throughout the match thus far and on the verge of losing, I scored two quick goals to keep the match interesting!!





And a clever save at 11pm when I'm super tired

Last 30ish seconds of a tense match (with a very anticlimactic ending on 0.00 lol). We were 2 - 1 and soon to be 3 - 1 up, before they launched a staggered come back. The last minute was full of mistimed shots and defensive blunders that were not taken advantage of by either team. Here is the last 30 seconds

1 - 2 after 2 minutes and my teammate elects to forfeit
Then goes idle (in the hope of "losing connection" to avoid penalty)

I reignite the game with my two goals... and the teammate decides to keep playing. We end up smashing the opponents

Got a forfeit victory in funny circumstances -

We were down 0 - 2 pretty early, try as we might we couldn't convert the limited chances we had. With 2 minutes left on the clock it finally started clicking for us, scored a good goal off a wall rebound. The next goal came 20 seconds after that with a nice pinball effect deflection off the wall by myself - and the teammate gobbled up the goal making it 2 - 2.

Then they just quit on the spot.

You always look for the negative in every situation.
I can only face the opponents I get matched up with (and one was a diamond tournament winner). We just kept nailing our shots.

A diamond tourney winner losing a silver tournament match 20 to 0 and you don't think that is incredibly suss?

A diamond doesn't lose 20-0 in a silver tourney, unless there is some serious smurfing going on. Just not possible, even putting aside the ridiculousness of not forfeiting a game like that in any event.

It wasn't even a tournament match though, casual ftw!
I'd understand the throwing the match assumption if they weren't trying at all, but they actually did try. My teammate and I were just good at rotating around goal to prevent their shots from landing to the target.

I haven't played in 18 months so things could have changed, but Casual shows a rank now? That was exclusively a tournament thing...

Night 2 of the new season anddddddddddddddddddddddddd (drum roll)

First tournament win of the new season

We dominated round 1
Lost cohesion in R2
Regained it in the QF

Were lucky to survive the semi final (lost the first match, did enough to JUST win the second and third legs. The second leg was extra dangerous as we were down a player, who only came back into the game once we leveled the scores lol) and only just won the third leg in over time.

The final itself, we got blown away 5 - 1 in leg 1
Only just won leg 2
Won leg 3 in a thrashing.

Yes this games frustrating at times but faark me it's so satisfying when you get ******s that demo to sore yet you score short-handed against them and even better when you win against them
