To think that both clubs are in the same situation is absolutely ******ed. North have been bad for a long time and still look like they're a few years off actually putting anything together. We have just started our rebuild and the signs on the field are already looking better.

Our senior players are making a very good contribution that helps and Balta return will only strengthen that further . Our midfield versing qty oppo are holding up admirably most weeks , our lack of goal kicking options in f50 is killing us

Didn’t understand Gray being subbed though because he said it was tactical which I dont agree with.

I think “tactical” is just a dumb word to explain Gray didn’t come off for injury.
Also dumb not to reward a debutant with a full game when they are playing ok amongst a bunch of other more experienced blokes who could have been subbed out on performance or due to “3 games in 11 days”.

I focused more on Ross as we have a couple of midfield options pushing for a game, not so much small forwards.
Not sure why our smalls struggled last night, we had plenty of entries. We certainly gave them too much space coming out of defence, perhaps a coaching error there.

I can cop loosing, but that 3rd quarter was cooked, we had no chance with that Discraceful rorting, they got a win on a silver platter not becouse they did anything special.
If the umpiring was reversed we would have won easily.

I agree umpiring was bad, however, we played one of the worst cases of uncontested footy you’d see. We were -74 at 3 qtr time. Instead of applying pressure to the ball carrier and manning up we kept dropping back. Woeful play by Richmond and that in a nutshell is why we got smashed in the 3rd.

Dees are not in the same boat as us, we have 2x top 5 picks incoming, they have zero first round picks this year.

Hate that sagging off with a vengeance. Effectively gives their player 2 options. First, they gain 10 to 15 metres before disposing instead of going back 5 metres from the manned mark. Second, Gives him 180 degrees forward space to pick a target instead of being forced to at least go somewhat laterally by the mark being manned. How many times do we see a short kick to a player in front of the retreating man marker. He moves slightly to cover this man and the original opposition kicker streams by at full pace and they are putting pressure on our defence.

That one where Faull outworked his opponent and got pinged for shepherding (i believe) was another shit joke of a decision. All he did was hold ground and move his opponent.

I think I remember that one. Unfortunately I don't think he touched the ball and as I understand the current interpretation that results in a free. Not that I agree with it.
