In a game between two clubs with a closely intertwined history the 2024 season will start with a bang. Gold Coast have deep inside knowledge of the Tigers, with their coach and several players. Richmond have taken a meatball from the Suns, as he didn't fit in with all their sausages.

The Suns massive supporter base will be out in force

Both teams have a heap to prove in 2024. The Suns have to show a return on investment to the AFL. They have more top picks than a hardware store, the old Richmond coach and a new game plan (the old Richmond one), and the weight of history. Well actually the weight of history isn't much, but one day they will make history and make finals and maybe win one. Almost certainly before Essendon do. Almost certainly, well maybe, could be.

The Tigers are coming off a terrible year where the old coach, the Suns new one, burnt out and lost the plot, the replacement did the same thing as the burnt out guy, key players were injured and older stars fell off a cliff

Who will win?

If the Tigers can stop their old game plan being played by a team not used to it, then they should. However if you read the BF tigers board you'd reckon the Suns are shoe in with all of our spuds.

Personally, I reckon the Tigers will play with more venom and freedom than 2023 and the Suns will struggle to implement the Dimma game. Unfortunately our forward line is out still (I know we have more forwards than Lynch, but when he's out to lunch we're stuffed for structure). But the new guys up forward can do it if we can provide supply and pressure the Suns.

Apparently Cumberland in rehab today and did basically nothing, and Campbell not much more.

So I'll switch Cumberland with M. Rioli.

Cumbo is fine. So is Sonz.

Caesar PRE Training today (Friday)

Lynch and Bauer did ALL drills in a 90 minute session.
Nank about 70%

Cumbo, Sonz in rehab, but you couldn't even call it that as Sonz did nothing at all and Cumbo very little.

Seth also not much.

May have been more of a management session?

**Session ended with semi and final of the club's goal kicking, in the Miller v Broady semi, between them they kicked 6 points straight  :) before Miller advanced.
Shai kicked 6 goals straight: to dispose of Kmac in semi and then Miller in final.

This game could be the first in VFL/AFL history where neither team receives a free kick.

The umpires don't like Dimma and sure as hell aren't Tigers fans.
