Ahh the Supreme Court pretty much ruled the president’s power is absolute within the “official acts” nexus.

A trump stacked Supreme Court basically said the president can do what he wants any time he wants as long as there’s no personal gain.

Can drive a truck through that one.
This is the abyss where capitalism takes us

This is the issue.

Someone votes Trump and they are a yada yada flog yada yada racist yada yada yada.....

Meanwhile, the Democrats have supported more death, wars & incited more global unrest than anything he ever said or did. The defunding the police movement & decisions around crime etc have turned once great cities like San Fran, Seattle, Portland in to utter shitholes. I was over in the states for a month a few months back & the cost of living issue over there completely dwarfs ours except for the housing situation. San Fran was a complete utter shithole these days, with Fisherman's Wharf completely boarded up. Homeless everywhere. Junkies shooting up in public, while literal naked gay men walk around the streets in the middle of the day with their Nahas out. No joke, i saw 6-7 guys in their 50s-60's walking around completely naked in the middle of the city &, apparently, that is normal now. Waymo self driving cars are more expensive and more popular than human uber drivers, as the elite flogs would rather pay more for a robot to drive them than have to deal with a "normie" who has been pushed out of the city and now has to live in Oakland - a city that doesn't even have a Baseball team now as their is no money in it.

Of all the cities i went to, San Fran was without doubt the worst. Never, have i seen a city have so much tech-money filter through it, & none of it go back into the city and down to the common man. it was the most elite fart-sniffing cestpool i have ever seen. A decade ago i went there and loved the city - this time i couldn't even last 2 days there.

A dinner for my wife and 10 year old son of 3 Ramens + 2 gyoza entree's & 2 soft drinks cost us $185AUD. The world is at total war. I have never been a Trump fan, ever. But my impression of it all is he says more ridiculous shit than he actually does & the democrats do a lot of stuff they hope we never find out about. One lie's to your face, while the other lie's behind your back and would let thousands likely die to hide that truth from you. I have never been a fan of Trump, but currently i am not a fan of neither. Trump is a lunatic & I think the democrats are polished turds who lie, lie, lie. & tax, tax, tax & regulate, regulate, regulate.

I think, much like we are seeing over here now - the Right will win.

Look mate in the age of personal responsibility just pick a cheaper restaurant. You have that power.

If you want averaged cost dining experience across the board that’s communism

just think on it for a bit

To an extent yes but if it’s something that requires money to happen (essentially everything does) it won’t happen unless congress approve the spending

Of course the split on congress can sway how hard or easy it is for something to pass but it still comes back to the party and all the representatives need to be elected in the first place

Which comes into power when capitalism is crisis

Hmmm no. It’s usually the capitalists recognising the opportunity to consolidate and take more. Just look at trumps first term. It’s a blue print that’s snowballed into project 2025. It’s all there to see they’re not hiding it.

There won’t be a split after this election. If trump wins they’ll take the congress. Hasta la vista

I’ll make the call now. IF Trump wins, he won’t persue “his political enemies”. It’s noise and rhetoric for the MAGA fan base. Read his comments re Clinton. He’s smart enough to know the damage that will cause.
I had a mess around with the election. It’s gonna be tight (within 10 seatsish tight).
I had Harris at 265 (off memory) and Trump at around 280.
Odds seem way, way out of proportion in my opinion. 5 days to go. Thank christ. Bring on the draft.

Tend to agree
Not a fan of trump but I don’t agree with the doom sayers and that goes for either side

I dare say the fate of America and the free world will probably be the same no matter who wins it’s just different ways to dress up the same turd

The most interesting thing I will be looking at if Trump wins is that happens with Mr Musk
He’s definitely planted his flag in his camp and I want to see how he goes about cutting all that money that Musk claims he will out of the federal budget

The easiest way would be of course military spend but I can’t see that happening either so I just think it it will be interesting how trumps base react to money potentially being pulled out of programs that benefit the greater American people on the home front

You mean the capitalists like Albo and his 4.5 million dollar house added to the 90 houses he owns or Penny Wong buying her third house for the year at 3.2 million ahhh the party of the people

Literally don’t know what the point is your making

Kamal sucks. But is a 'normal' politician, who will run a "normal" USA.

Trump's senior people from his first term mostly have come out saying that they feel he is unfit to be president.

Democrats are screwed up, but are a fairly normal centre right political party with fairly strong influence by rich people and corporations.

The republicans now are against democracy and seem to be aiming at a plutocracy (almost kleptocracy), where law is no longer fair and impartial, but decided by ideology. They see science and issues like climate change as something they can wish away.

Not a hard choice. That it is so close shows how broken the USA is - electoral system, political structures, culture and media.

Both parties are compromised by the NRA and big business. Either way, they’ll do what their donors/masters tell them aka Blackrock etc
