I am more worried when we are strong favourites, which we certainly are not. I never expect us to win, always hope we can.
This week, a win would be a bonus.
This pearler of a song sums up how I feel this week

Relax. Relax. Relax.
"I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts. :)

Always loved Gilmour's Black Strat. Masterpiece.

Why Clohesy out for Knevitt?
Not happy with that.

Unfortunately for Clohesy, he was a little quiet last week and thinking it's more so Mannagh return that has pushed Ted down the pecking order when looking at our small forward/half forward options

Barring a role as the sub, Knevitt will return to the midfield rotation, especially centre bounces - he had 19 & 20 CBAs over our first two matches, and managed to get in for 2 after coming on as sub against Brisbane

Across the season to date, Clohesy has attended 1 CBA

They're not exactly competing for the same role, and this week the coaches have opted to boost the midfield rotation which is why Knevitt has been favoured

It sucks for Ted there's no VFL this week, but hopefully when he next gets a run he can continue to show his goods and keep the pressure on those in the seniors

Knevitt for O’Connor would have made me happier. Like for like and with Mannagh back there is another option to pinch hit in the midfield. We have Danger Atkins Smith Holmes Bowes Stewart All as options to be rotating through there as well. I have just really enjoyed the intensity that Ted has shown when playing.

I have a feeling we might see O'Connor on Dawson or Rankine at times though.

I'd have been happy to leave the squad as is. Knevitt really has to play well when given the chance, as spots are getting tight.

We need O’Connor down back to slot into JHenry’s role.

Felt a little the same way about Ted Clohesy Lingface: staying in side with his intensity, toughness, contest work and newly found skill as I'm really warming to him after not being sure either way prior to season commencement but he really has come on. So low possessions was against him against Dee's but he still was highly effective in certain parts of game and yeah I would have loved to see him get another game which I'm sure his next AFL game won't be too far away as long as he performs at AFL level in VFL.

Also Lingface: Mark O'Connor was excellent last week against the Dees when he came on the ground as sub and his contested work both in air the and on the ground was A1 but it was also his kicking that stood-out with great penetration and that pass in the last quarter to Brad Close which resulted in a goal was elite, especially when taking into consideration that he daringly changed direction among a number of Demon players and threw them all out (including me) which was a great piece of creative and daring play (Stevie J like) which is so unlike him but I guess if he wants to stay in side with our great depth then he has to be more creative and daring in his play unless of course he is playing a important tagging role.

Lingsface: our side against Adelaide Crows on Thursday night 'is still a very strong side' with us developing some great depth at the Cattery now with the likes of Ted Clohesy who is going to be an excellent footballer not getting a game but also with our long list of current injuries. So much to like with the Pussy Cats going forward Lingface:..... and GO CATS !!!

Crows have bolted out of the blocks, starting to gel and confidence is high.
Tough one for us on their one eyed home deck with umpires primed to square the ledger after they were ‘robbed’ last week. If we are to win this we need to bury them early and burn the shovels.
Will be a good win if we can snag it, but may be a bridge too far.

Watching us against Brisbane, especially compared to round 1 against Freo, we seemed to make a conscious decision to not push Stewart up into the middle as he only attended 1 CBAs on Friday compared with 17 against Freo

That could be a combination of residual issues with his knee & not wanting to play him through the guts at this stage, but also using him behind the ball as the defensive general & sweeper in a role we know he plays extremely well

Against Adelaide at AO last year he was absolutely dominant behind the ball - 10 intercept marks to go with 15 intercept possessions, and would think the plan would be for him to play a similar role tonight and see if Adelaide has a forward who can go with him

We also don't seem to throw Smith into a lot of CBAs - we seem to prefer him on the outside getting the ball

I can see why they'd being Knevitt back into the fold

I don't think there's anyone that hasn't enjoyed watching Clohesy play over recent games, but he's competing more with Close or Mannagh for a spot when we've got greater availablity, compared with players like Knevitt or O'Connor

Why Clohesy out for Knevitt?
Not happy with that.
Because Knevitt is more talented and, with Mannagh in the team, a better fit for the 22 that we have.

Clohesy has a good attitude, and is hard as a cat's head, but he doesn't seem to have as high a ceiling. He's also, in fan eyes, at the Honeymoon stage, where a 13-touch game shows promise rather than stagnation.

What’s the story with Tanner Bruhn ?
He will be unavailable for the long-term (assuming that your question is genuine - it's hard to tell on the internet, apologies if so).
Do we know if he is still training?
Not with the group in open sessions, at the very least. Whether he is training privately, who knows.

My question is genuine.

I was hoping the answer wasn’t the one I’ve seen above.

They look good, but does early days thrashings over STK and North, falling short of Suns, deserve such high favouritism?
Yes.

All three of those teams are playing much better this year than at the same time last year, particularly Gold Coast.

That game against Gold Coast was game of the year so far - not just in that it was close, but in terms of quality.

I am probably being a bit unreasonable as Knevitt did play very well in the first couple of rounds. IO’Connor on Dawson would be a decent idea, I don’t rate him when he doesn’t have a defensive role.

I liked Knevitt's game against Freo. Not completely sold on his 5 quarters since. It'd be a great time to have a career best game to cement his spot, that's for sure.

I'll take your word for it. That would be a big turnaround for North, but I guess young teams fresh off good preseasons, and very early rounds.
I guess we'll see tonight, but I'm not giving up on a win easily, in fact, quietly confident.
