Anyone got any recommendations for Gather Round Adelaide accommodation?

Got 4 tickets (for 5 games as well) but really struggling to find cheap decent accommodation for the four of us.

(Forgot the price increase that comes with events like this).
You may already know this, but if the city is tough going, look along the tram line (southwest), o-bahn (northeast, near Klemzig for some services or Paradise, TTP for all etc). Reasonably quick to get into town. Some main train lines heading into the northern and southern suburbs, though haven't gotten a train in over a decade.

Kinda wish we still had Komodo dragons in Australia - would fill out our niche of terrifying animals rather nicely I feel.

Don't need 'em when we have Dropbears.

There's isn't an American tourist I've come across that hasn't recoiled in terror when I convey tales of what Dropbears have done to some of my friends.

The idea of Komodo's in the Top End hunting down water buffalo and battling saltwater crocs tickles my funny bone though.

Camping out would be somewhat problematic though :sadv1: :nogood:

Animals that are just gigantic versions of other animals terrify me.

Komodo dragons? Lizards shouldn't be that big...

Sharks? XXL herrings with knives for teeth.

Emus? Why is there a supersized budgie charging at me?!

No thanks. Just give me a sausage dog that will sit on my lap getting rubs on the belly all day and I'll be just fine.

I was chasing an Emu when I was 2 or 3, until it realised the size differential and turned around, flared up and ran at me.

Could have been Bloods86-88.

and with that ends another year in the classroom. Still a little confused as to where this year has gone but grateful to have had an incredible team to work with and a beautiful bunch of kids again. Now time to recharge the batteries ready to do it all again.
Good on you . See you at the Riser in September

And south east suburbs
Yep, really eerie orange glow. Was passed on the road earlier today by a convoy of about 8 CFA tankers from around the Springvale and Keysborough areas on their way down to The Gurdies which has flared up big time today. The only positive is that these areas are only going to get drier, so maybe having some areas burn out ow will prevent even larger fires in late Jan - Feb.
