OUTSINS
Strachan (Injured)ROB
Borlase/Burgess (We only need one second ruck, that is dogshit up forward)Tex/Ibis
Brodie SmithDan Curtin
Jordan Butts (unfortunately)Nick Murray (if ready)
MurphyIzak Rankine
SchoenbergPedlar (Laird goes to HB)

While we are still mathematically possible to make the 8 due to the evens of the top 13 teams this year, our best 22 players need to play every week, until its impossible.
LOL
Jordan Butts ain't going out, no chance against the Swans forwards line.

That team would beat last night's team by ten goals.
Well at least we'd have a ruckman that competes for 4 quarters and needs minimal chop out support and isn't tonguing it from early in the 2nd quarter of the game.

If ROB's not the answer then we MUST trade for a decent young ruck and hopefully finally draft a youngster to have developing behind them. Strachan is not the way forward.

I've taken your advice and bet on Crows for the win. Not just your advice but it would be such a Crows thing to beat Sydney after two of the worst performances imaginable, and really, Crows are capable of beating any team in the comp when they are truly 'on'.

Regain Tex, Rankine, Cook, Murray, ROB, Pedlar or most of them, dismiss the appalling last two games, and it's game on.
I’m sorry, but I really abhor the destruction of capital. Any chance I could encourage you to donate that money to charity?

There were a number of things that were confirmed beyond all doubt tonight.

1) Sam Berry is never going to make it as an AFL player. Great tackler, one of the best I’ve seen. Literally shithouse at everything else.

2) Chris Burgess is a complete and utter list clogger who has no business playing at this level in any role

3) Ned McHenry is an absolute mess who would not get a game at literally any other club (we already knew this)

4) Brodie Smith is cooked beyond belief and his lack of composure for someone so experienced is staggering (already knew this)

5) Rory Laird is also cooked beyond belief and continuing to trot him out in a central midfield role is the most hideous coaching move consistently occurring in the entire AFL (already knew this)

6) Chayce Jones is an embarrassment to our recruiters, development staff and coaching staff

7) Matthew Nicks is a blithering idiot, completely out of his depth, has lost the players, and is the laughing stock of the AFL coaching world

This once proud club has been reduced to a pathetic, putrid joke of an organisation. Mark Ricciuto, Adam Kelly, Hamish Ogilvie, Matthew Nicks and Mick Godden at an absolute minimum are dead men walking, and if any one of them are still there by February, the disaster will only continue. If I was as objectively shit at my job as all of them are at theirs, i would fully expect to have been sacked well before now.
The last paragraph reminds me of this…

Don't care. I would prefer a changes thread that needs to happen above the players.

Out
Olsen, The rest of the board, Riccuito, Reid, Ogilvie, Silvers, Kelly, Nicks, Assistants.

Nope. It's not my money, it's Ladbrokes' after me scoring a win backing Richmond over the Crows. Yes indeedy, I knew it would happen, just like I know Crows will shock everyone and get up Saturday.

Fact is when players like Berry, Dowling and Shoey are forced to play HF and wing roles so hack-laird can play middle, there is no point bring in any younger players. Same with Smith

If we are any hope Nicks need to be tough and select based on form and intent which would mean having Smith and Laird on the bench, sub or SANFL.

I do hope some of our younger players perform on Saturday

Out: the wrong people in key posts

In: don’t care, leave them vacant if need be. Better than these hacks
Time to bin some club philosophies too.

Otherwise whoever we bring in will gradually become more of the same.

Burgess is out. Walker is in. (if ready to go)
Murphy is out. Rankine is in. (if ready to go)
Smith or Keays is out. Curtin is in.
Strachan is out. Toby Murray is in.

F. T Murray Fogarty Rachele
HF. Pedlar Walker Cook
C. Nankervis Dawson Dowling
HB. Michalanney N Murray Curtin
B. Hamill Butts Hinge
1R. Himmelberg Rankine Soligo
Ic. Laird Borlase Schoenberg Berry
Sub. Sholl

Out
Smith cooked
Murphy Jones Burgess Keays Strachan all not up to it
Keane checked out

ROB not up to either. Himmler, Ibis and Borlase all at least offer something around the ground. Split 90% ruck duties between Himmler and Ibis with 10% chop out from Borlase. Full respect to Borlase, limited physically but shown great improvement.

I'd be happy to watch that 23 take on Sydney. Over 70+ games of mediocrity form Murphy, Jones, McHenry, Keays, ROB. Move on from these blokes, everyone bar the coaches can see they are not up to it.

I’d happily watch us get belted if it meant we committed to lining up something like that. cmndstab nailed it before the game this week, feels even more relevant now - mustv seen the future or something.

You should try and poach Josh Carr.
Carr would rather pull his own head off and $hit down his own neck than Coach the Crows.
I still think if you put Brodie Grundy and a gun midfielder in this team you would be a top 8 side (at full strength).
Our recruiters have not got us a gun mid since Dangerfield (2007 Draft).
For being dumb enough to suggest the above (Grundy is thriving where he is, so no chance) you have to send us Gawn and Petracca, as your punishment :sneaky: .

Burgess out: Murray in
Murphy out: Taylor in
Smith out: Ryan in
McHenry out: Curtin in
We have many more holes to fill than these but this is a good selection.

If we deliberately play most of our young players from now to the end of the season, IRRESPECTIVE OF RESULTS, we might salvage something from an otherwise wasted year.

Also, use the remaining games to experiment MUCH, MUCH MORE with positional options for the future. (Max to onball. Hinge to the CBA. Gollant to the wing etc etc. I could name virtually every player actually)

Whatever the plan was before last week, it's time to blow it up and move into FULL DEVELOPMENT MODE.

After the first half of the SANFL today, changes next week are clear to me if Rankine and Tex are ready.

Tex for Burgess
Rankine for Murphy
Nick Murray for Smith (Keane to interceptor role)
Taylor for McHenry
Pedlar for Berry (sub)
ROB for Strachan (inj)

IF Cook is fit, replaces either Sholl or Jones.

Laird shifts to half back and Dowling/Schoenberg/Taylor/Pedlar/Rachele/Rankine/Soligo/Dawson are prioritised midfield minutes.

I've only watched bits and pieces, if Strachan weren't injured, has ROB shown enough? I saw he still hasn't taken a mark...

I doubt Laird will go to half back. I know Nicks did it in the last quarter against the Hawks but can’t see him put his love child back there to start the game.

From SANFL (stats only)

In:
Zac Taylor
Luke Pedlar
Nick Murray
Reilly O'Brien

Maybe:
Charlie Edwards
Toby Murray

In: Taylor, Pedlar, O’Brien, Murray, Rankine, Tex, Cook
Out: Berry, Strauchan, Keane, McHenry, Burgess, Smith, Laird
