They were the walking wounded this year. Mayne’s sledging is laughable.

With the outs Coorparoo had they presented manfully in both grades but just too much to overcome.

Any other club had that level of outs would have been blown away.

Mayne have one in a row. Let’s see how the statement above looks in 10 or so months time.
not sure their ressies can use any excuse like that

Tell me you’re a Mayne person without telling me you’re a Mayne person 🤣. Where were you guys in 2017,2018,2019,2021,2022 and 2023?
Not sure why you listed from 2017 and not 2014, when they won the 6 grand finals available over that 3 year period. I believe Mayne played in the 2019 decider loosing to Noosa. And have missed finals once or twice maybe in the period you mentioned. As have colundra without taking home the trophy. But are a very good club.
Mayne's 2's have also contested very well over that period.

Every team has injuries thought out the year. 2019 Mayne played Nooosa in the granny and lost the Div 1 player of the year and full forward in the Prelim final swings and round abouts. Shit happens

Every club has glory days good times, bad times and times to rebuid( Richmond, Hawthorn Mt Gravett and to some extent Mayne after the retirements and player turn over after the 2016 GF). At some stage through strong off-field mgmt they bounce back.

I have enjoyed the Div 1 comp and the rivaleries the have come and gone for what ever reason. and I hope the powers to be make the right calls going forward.

I'm interested to know if Coop Kings have lost many players due to their move up to the QAFL, While it is great for a team to go up to QAFL I'm sure there might be some half decent players that aren't interested and would rather play for a div 1 club? and where would they go if so?

Yep that’s footy. Simply stated they did well considering. No excuses.

Great decision by the footy club I reckon - think they will get some very good players who want to step back from the rigours of QAFL footy from both Grange and Aspley over time.

Thought id drive through the Varsity Lakes and have a look as was over that side of town tonight. Not much going on but did see Crozier down there. Ominous signs in November as from all reports started training in July this year and almost topped the competition goal kicking.

Although no Collison who could be a big loss for them. Always seemed to sneak a goal when they needed. Looks like Hinterlands signed a few big names, havent heard much from the other clubs with my Kings now in Qafl. Keen to keep an eye on this competition though, always a good standard of local footy.

Collison could end up at Caloundra possibly Maroochydore

Going to be interesting for Beenleigh next year, 2 best players in Murdoch & Eddy headed down to Carrara with the old coach. I know they picked up Yagmoor but bit of a worry that it might be a repeat of this year for them.
