Exactly... Stewart was never going to play... I just hate how the club says to us members and Supporters, the injury against West Coast , he could of gone back on the ground and play... that was never the case

Did they plan Stewart's illness?

All reports say that he passed a fitness test yesterday and was in line to play until waking up ill this morning

If he was never a chance to play, then I doubt they fly him to Adelaide in the first place

It's like they were preparing him for next week onwards for seniors

He was good, but didn't think it was a pick me match - at least not ahead of Rhys in the ruck

Guessing he'll get another run on Saturday and things will go from there

Yeah, it was a game to get some time into him without incurring any bruises.

Woke up with Flu today, thats a pretty quick flu, must be Gastro, hope none of others get it before next week.

I wouldn't put any kind of mind games past us.

SDK never going to play but traveling to throw them.
Stewart never going to play but traveling.
Mullin planning to play on JHF all week but not named (hence why Touhy is sub).

Port would have spent plenty of time of planning for Stewart + had a plan incase SDK came in.
Also wouldn't have planned on JHF to be tagged at all (assuming Mullin tags here... Maybe I'm wrong).

Fingers crossed this all makes Port malfunction.

Ralphy was just laughing about Stewart being 'the first hamstring related illness for the finals' and went on to reference the 'ducks and drakes' that comes with the GFC.

Not surprised he’s in. But am a bit surprised he’s gone straight into the 22 with tuohy remaining sub

Yeah that indicates to me that there was a bit of planning involved here.

Using Mullin to tag around the ground, I could live with that at a stretch as JHF is dangerous running forward of the play, but please don't let us start centre bounces down a player.

I think gastro is more likely but the media seems to use flu for illnesses

Reports that today they isolated him from his teammates & got him on a flight home instead of staying for the match, pair up more with an sudden onset illnesses rather than failing a fitness test - no way you'd want gastro or the flu to spread amongst the group, but if he wasn't right hamstring wise, no reason he couldn't support the team

Yeah what was that, what an absolute (I can’t write it)

SDK flying over as an emergency isn't that surprising though

Imagine bringing a guy in to tag (assuming he does tag) but not training him up almost all year at doing so.

Personally, I don't love Mullin's preparation to tag in a final... although he may still go ok at it.
