Their group of Players born 2003-2005 is quite large and those players are all graduating out of under 19s into the senior group. Unsure to whether they will still have 2 U19 teams. How does a club go from forfeiting some Reserves games (less than 40 available players) to having 3 sides (70+ players). Spot on. Focus on your school feed of players and you build back up your numbers. The senior players that stuck with the club, while many left for cash after 2022, have been key though.
I don't believe there is a 2nd U19 team, largely driven by the VAFA changing the age limit again. A lot of kids are now only eligible for 1 year of U19's post school.
The Thirds will be the overflow U19's and Reserves players.
I think we are more likely to see forfeits in A Grade Reserves than B Grade.
Old Haileybury don't have a Thirds and according to VAFA rules U19's Premier ranks higher than A Grade ReservesRidiculous to forfeit Premier A reserves. As has been suggested by others, use your 19s and thirds team to top up.
Are you really a Premier A club if you can't field a magoos side?
Assuming those VAFA rules are as you say, it’s a nonsense to permit A grade ressies forfeits as a result.Old Haileybury don't have a Thirds and according to VAFA rules U19's Premier ranks higher than A Grade Reserves
Hopefully they have also picked up some numbers, but if they haven't then forfeit will be on the cards again
Either way it's not a B Grade problem
